The former South African President, Nelson Mandela, is being laid to rest, at his boyhood home of Qunu, in the eastern Cape. The public part of the ceremony is taking place inside a specially constructed marquee, with thousands of mourners, including senior politicians and a number of foreign dignitaries, paying their last respects.

Manu Dibango is the most famous musician from Cameroon and perhaps one of Africa's most dearly loved. Manu Dibango speaks about his legacy, favourite performances and memories through his musical career as a saxophonist. Born 80 years ago, Manu Dibango started his career in the 1950s, the saxophonist has become a globe-trotting musician, living and regularly performing in France, Belgium, Jamaica, the DR Congo, Ivory Coast and in Cameroon. His music has provided inspiration to pop stars like the late king of pop Michael Jackson to Rihanna. He first attained global fame in 1972 when he released Soul Makossa and remained one of the most internationally celebrated African musicians into the mid-1990s. BBC Africa's Sophie Ikenye asked him which of many, many performances he now finds the most memorable.
