Simeya TV Is for More Than YouTubers

A Simeya member does not need to own a YouTube account or YouTube channel in order to add the Simeya TV Platform to his or her Simeya account.

Every person has interests, knowledge, hobbies, business experience, local information or subjects they care about. Simeya TV gives that member a way to organize useful media and build a public website around those interests. Open the TV Channel Handle setup page and create or confirm the public handle assigned to the user.

Choose a simple public address

Select the public experience visitors should see when they open the handler URL.

Choose YouTube channels

Select the channels that should appear in the handler's public channel grid.

Test the public experience

Channel Grid, Video Grid and Playlist Grid

Channels Grid

The channels grid shows the YouTube channels selected for the active handler. When no individual channel is selected, channel artwork is used to represent each available channel.

Video Grid

Selecting a channel opens that channel's cached video collection. Videos can play in the Simeya TV lightbox instead of sending the viewer away to the public YouTube website.

Playlist Grid

A Playlist Grid can combine selected videos from multiple YouTube channels into one subject-focused collection. It can become the media foundation for a larger Simeya TV Website page containing articles, images, audio, Marketplace offers, Marketing and Advertising.

YouTube Synchronization

Simeya TV maintains local YouTube information so public pages do not need to rebuild large channel collections every time a visitor opens a grid.

Video Cache

Channel videos are synchronized into the Simeya TV video cache.

Channel Details

Channel information such as names, thumbnails and other YouTube details can be refreshed.

Live Video Information

Simeya TV can refresh active live-video information for configured YouTube channels.

Scheduled Updates

The server can run the unified YouTube updater automatically using the Simeya TV cron process.

Automatic Hourly Sync

Simeya TV can execute the YouTube synchronization process automatically each hour.

YouTube Verification Messages

Simeya TV messaging can identify conversations associated with YouTube verification. This provides a direct communication path when Simeya needs to confirm channel ownership or other creator information.

Verification conversations appear separately identified from ordinary internal messages so that channel owners and administrators can quickly recognize them.
