Esta foi quase certamente a primeira vez que ouvi um concerto do Bob Marley, provavelmente o primeiro show de reggae que ouvi, e o mesmo pode muito bem ser verdade para muitos outros também. Esta é a transmissão da BBC, o início do anúncio de abertura está faltando, mas não parece que esteja faltando muito, porque começa com o locutor dizendo: "Aqui estão Bob Marley & the Wailers com um cântico rastafári"...
e a música de abertura começa. Há uma troca de fita pouco antes da última música, Kinky Reggae, mas você provavelmente nem notará isso neste torrent. Todas as músicas e o diálogo do locutor entre as músicas estão completos. A recepção é limpa e o som é excelente estéreo FM, gravado de uma transmissão da WBCN no final da década de 1970 (provavelmente 77 ou 78).
Este vem com a garantia da Glasnost Radio Productions de que não está cortado, distorcido, com falhas ou lacunas, e soa como um programa de FM deveria soar. Isso foi na época em que os concertos da BBC eram transmitidos em vinil
e tem uma ótima separação estéreo, uma arte muitas vezes perdida em transmissões de FM mais recentes. A WBCN tinha um bom toca-discos e eu não ouvi nenhum ruído ou pulo nesta transmissão (o que acontecia ocasionalmente em alguns dos concertos gravados). Este é um bom Marley vintage,
e provavelmente a melhor qualidade já publicada dele. Eu raramente tocava isso porque está em 2 fitas e por muito tempo não consegui encontrá-lo,
mas este torrent vem inteiramente das minhas fitas master, tornando este torrent em 3 etapas de glasnostrd19 para a nação Marley.
Esta é a minha gravação mais antiga, mas provavelmente também a de melhor qualidade que tenho do BMW e que é adequada para upload, já que é a minha única masterização da Marley. Não me lembro qual toca-fitas eu tinha para esta gravação,
já usei muitos toca-fitas cassete, especialmente antes de 87,
mas era um toca-fitas decente (definitivamente muito antes de eu ter um Naka).
Não venda esta gravação.

This was almost certainly the first time I ever heard a Bob Marley
concert, probably the first reggae show I ever heard, and the same
may well be true for many others, too. This is the BBC broadcast, the
very beginning of the opening announcement is missing but it doesn't
seem like it's missing much because it starts with the announcer
saying: "Here's Bob Marley & the Wailers with a Rastafarian chant"...
and the opening song begins. There is a tape flip just before
the last song, Kinky Reggae but you probably won't even notice that in
this torrent. All the songs and between song announcer dialogue are
complete. The reception is clean and the sound of this is
excellent FM stereo, recorded from a broadcast on WBCN in the
late 1970's (probably 77 or 78).
This one comes with the Glasnost Radio Productions assurance that it is
not clipped, pegged, glitched or gapped, and sounds like an FM show should
sound. This was in the day when BBC concerts were broadcast on vinyl
and it has great stereo seperation, an art often lost in more
recent FM broadcasts. WBCN had a good turntable, and I didn't hear
any scratches or skips in this broadcast (which did happen on occasion
in some of the recorded concerts). This is good vintage Marley,
and probably the best quality yet posted of it. I rarely played this
thing because it's on 2 tapes and for a long time I couldn't find it,
but this torrent comes entirely from my master cassettes, making this
a 3 step torrent from glasnostrd19 to Marley nation.
This one is my oldest, but probably also the best quality recording I
have of BMW that is suitable for upload since it
is my only Marley master. I don't remember which deck I had for this one,
I've been through alot of cassette decks, especially before 87,
but it was a decent one (definitely long before I got a Naka.)
