Koalas, Platypus & Echidnas: Down Under’s Strangest Creatures | Full Documentary
The eucalyptus forests of Eastern Australia are famous, both for flavouring of throat sweats and as home to cuddly looking koalas. But there is more to the lush woodland than meets the eyes – in the undergrowth strange birds build elaborate nests and rip-off each other’s calls. By day there are snakes everywhere and under the cover of night strange mammals take to the air. Australia’s weirdest creatures make this there home – the egg-laying, duck-billed platypus and its strange spiny cousin the echidna. But its koalas that steal the show in the forests, and when mating season comes around it turns out they are not as cuddly as they first appear! The filming of the series “Wild Australia” took three years. Renowned wildlife filmmakers Thoralf Grospitz and Jens Westphalen used specialized macro- and super slow-motion HD cameras to portray the animal kingdom down under. This is Australia as you’ve never seen it before! Crossing the Andes: Stories from South America's Backbone | Free Documentary Most Dangerous Ways To School - Himalaya, Siberia, Mongolia & Nepal: https://youtu.be/yBs8rOleqXE “I know Latinos as a politically engaged people. Always fighting, but with a smile. Strong, but not tough as nails. The history of this continent is one of ups and downs. Sometimes there’s a glimmer of hope, then everything seems to fall apart again. I’m wondering how South Americans are doing now. Are they crawling, walking or about to fall down again?” From Chile to Colombia, we will follow the spine of the Andes and along the way uncover small stories about big issues that say something about contemporary Latin America. According to Stef Biemans, the Andes Mountains are a good place to ask that question. 'The backbone of South America is 7000 kilometres long (4300 miles) and passes through 7 countries. You’ll find Chilean capitalism in the smog of Santiago, and will travel 30 years back in time through the clouds of remote Bolivian mountain villages. Latin America is, as it ever was, the continent of extremes; encompassing ancient ruins to mega-cities, towering mountain ranges to vast jungles, and of course, great fortunes and abject poverty. 00:00:00 The man-eating mountain 00:23:11 The skyscraper of Santiago 00:48:50 Technological Paradise 01:14:03 Eternal life 01:39:06 My mother-in-law stayed at home 02:02:57 The Mother of Colombia ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #andes ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing you high-class documentaries on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by renown filmmakers and production studios.
