Judo made its very first appearance at the Olympic Games in 1964 in Tokyo. However, it was not included in the Olympic programme in 1968 in Mexico City, but returned, never to leave again, at the 1972 Games in Munich. As for women's judo, it was added to the Games in 1992 in Barcelona. Men and women now compete in seven weight categories. There was originally a men's category open to all weights, but this event was withdrawn after the 1984 Games in Los Angeles. When an experimental drug trial goes horribly wrong, seven young test subjects, after being kept awake for days, must face the terrifying side effect of the drug: if you fall asleep you die. Trapped in an isolated medical facility, they desperately try to find a way to reverse the side effects of the trial, as one by one they succumb to sleep and death. Panic quickly takes hold and they to turn on each other. It’s left up to Claire, the group's unlikely leader, to keep them together, find a way to escape, and somehow manage to stay awake.

US President Donald Trump has gone ahead with his plan to impose levies on China, Canada and Mexico. He imposed 25% tariffs on most Canadian and Mexican imports, and doubled an existing 10% charge on China to 20%, affecting roughly $1.5 trillion in annual imports. China imposed tariffs as high as 15% on US exports in retaliation for the Trump administration’s new levy, escalating a trade war between the world’s two largest economies. Beijing said it would charge new duties on American goods, including chicken and cotton, after Washington doubled a tariff on all Chinese exports on Tuesday. Soybeans, beef and fruits are among products facing a 10% tariff, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Finance. President Joe Biden said he had directed the Department of Defense to deploy assets to help contain the California wildfires, including US Navy helicopters from San Diego, and said more resources were on the way. “We’re prepared for anything and everything as long as it takes,” the president said.
