Newsmax’s Value Cut in Half After 2,230% Surge Loses Momentum

Subscribe here: https://link.podtrac.com/h0zn7xir • Schwab (SCHW) rose in premarket trading after Citigroup raised the recommendation on the financial services firm to buy from neutral. Analyst Chris Allen wrote in a note, “For most names, we have reduced our earnings estimates due to market-driven and/or capital markets revisions. Schwab was the exception where improving new net assets trends, better-than-expected trading and capital return outlook provided an offset." • Newsmax (NMAX) shares are retreating on the heels of its blinding IPO rally which saw shares surge 2,230% since its debut earlier this week. The stock soared nearly 180% to close at $233 on Tuesday, building on a 735% surge in its debut session which saw the shares halted multiple times. • Hims & Hers Health (HIMS) shares rose Tuesday after it said it was broadening its weight-loss offerings, adding access to brand name shots like Zepbound after previously focusing on cheaper versions made by compounding pharmacies. Eli Lilly (LLY) notes that it doesn't have any affiliation with the telehealth platform, adding that its weight-loss drug Zepbound, or tirzepatide, can be prescribed by "any licensed healthcare professional." • Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT) slumped in pre-market trading after the company filed on April 1 to register up to 142.5 million shares and warrants for sale. The company subsequently released the following statement in response to "inaccurate stories" about its filing of a registration statement on form S-3 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission: "Legacy media outlets are spreading a fake story suggesting that a TMTG filing today is paving the way for the Trump trust to sell its shares in TMTG. To be clear, these shares were already registered last June on an S-1 form, and today TMTG submitted a routine filing that re-registers them on an S-3 form in order to keep the Company's filings effective. In fact, there currently is no open window for any affiliate to sell shares." -------- Watch Bloomberg Radio LIVE on YouTube Weekdays 7am-6pm ET WATCH HERE: http://bit.ly/3vTiACF Follow us on X: https://twitter.com/BloombergRadio Subscribe to our Podcasts: Bloomberg Daybreak: http://bit.ly/3DWYoAN Bloomberg Surveillance: http://bit.ly/3OPtReI Bloomberg Intelligence: http://bit.ly/3YrBfOi Balance of Power: http://bit.ly/3OO8eLC Bloomberg Businessweek: http://bit.ly/3IPl60i Listen on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with the Bloomberg Business app: Apple CarPlay: https://apple.co/486mghI Android Auto: https://bit.ly/49benZy Visit our YouTube channels: Bloomberg Podcasts: https://www.youtube.com/bloombergpodcasts Bloomberg Television: https://www.youtube.com/@markets Bloomberg Originals: https://www.youtube.com/bloomberg Quicktake: https://www.youtube.com/@BloombergQuicktake

Weightman-Smith Gives Atkinson His Place In Hurdles Final - Amsterdam 1928 Olympics
📲 Subscribe to @olympics: http://oly.ch/Subscribe Check out the brandnew Olympic Channel: http://go.olympic.org/watch?p=yt One of the most incredible displays of Olympic sportsmanship as South Africa's George Weightman-Smith gives his hurdles lane to compatriot Sydney Atkinson as Atkinson goes on to win the events gold medal. The adage that says taking part outweighs the merits of winning was never more appropriate than when applied to the conduct of South African sprint hurdler George Weightman-Smith. Weightman-Smith, one of only 27 athletes who made the trip from South Africa to the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam, shaved two tenths of a second from the world record in a dominant performance in the semi-finals. Believing he had achieved all one could expect from an athlete, Weightman-Smith, under a ruling that would not be allowed today, opted to give his team-mate Sydney Atkinson his lane for the final in order to give his countryman a better chance of success. Atkinson himself had come agonisingly close to Olympic glory four years earlier in Paris. Atkinson was not among the favourites as the athletes descended into the blocks. He finished second in his heat and in the semi-final with a trio of powerful Americans -- Steve Anderson, John Collier and Leighton Dye -- ready to pounce. However Atkinson made the perfect start in lane three and never looked like being headed. He won in a time of 14.8 secs with the Americans threesome filling the next places. It remains the only time an African runner has won the event and there would be a 48-year wait for the next time a non-American won the 110 hurdles when Frenchman Guy Drut took gold at the 1976 Games in Montreal. _____________________________________________________ 🇨🇳 #Beijing2022 replays: https://oly.ch/B22Replays 🇯🇵 #Tokyo2020 replays: https://oly.ch/T20Replays 🗞️ News from the Olympic world: https://oly.ch/News

European Stocks Fall as Trump Tariff Announcement Looms Over Markets | The Opening Trade 04/02
Europe’s Stoxx 600 Index fell hours before President Donald Trump’s tariffs announcement in the White House Rose Garden, with speculation swirling over the details of the proposed trade action. Healthcare stocks were among the biggest losers as mass layoffs at the US Department of Health sowed uncertainty over the outlook for vaccines and gene therapies. Among single stocks, Mercedes fell after Bloomberg reported the automaker could withdraw its least expensive cars from the US if tariffs make their sales unfeasible. Several proposals are said to be under consideration, including a tiered tariff system with a set of flat rates for countries, as well as a more customized reciprocal plan. The White House has said the tariffs would take immediate effect, but that Trump was open to subsequent negotiation. The Opening Trade has everything you need to know as markets open across Europe.
