The COMPLETE Story of the Old Testament | From Creation to the Coming of the Messiah | bible stories
This video explores the complete story of the Old Testament—from Creation and the patriarchs to Exodus, Israel’s kings, exile, restoration, wisdom literature, and the long wait for fulfillment.
You’ll understand how the Old Testament traces humanity’s search for purpose, covenant, faith, failure, suffering, restoration, and hope across generations.
Beginning with Genesis, this journey follows Creation, Adam and Eve, Noah, Babel, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph before moving into Moses, the Exodus, Mount Sinai, and Israel’s covenant with God. It continues through the wilderness, Joshua, the turbulent era of the Judges, and Israel’s transition to monarchy under Saul, David, and Solomon. After the kingdom divides, prophets confront idolatry and injustice as Assyria and Babylon bring national catastrophe and exile. The story then follows the return under Persian rule, the rebuilding of Jerusalem, and the work of Ezra and Nehemiah. Finally, Job, Ecclesiastes, Psalms, Proverbs, and Song of Songs explore suffering, wisdom, worship, love, and the enduring human search for meaning.

📝 **INTERPRETATION NOTE**
This video combines biblical narrative with historical overview, theological reflection, literary commentary, and devotional interpretation. Statements about humanity’s “search for purpose,” the psychological motives of biblical characters, the development of Israel’s collective identity, and connections between particular events and universal human experience are interpretive applications rather than direct statements from the biblical text. Some discussions of authorship, textual development, ancient Near Eastern parallels, and the formation of the Old Testament reflect historical or literary interpretation presented by the video.
