Why This Farmer Replaced His Avocado Grove with Longans
Why would someone remove an entire avocado grove and replace it with 200 longan trees? In this video, I visit Everglades Farm in Homestead, Florida, where Noah explains exactly why he made that decision. We discuss the Kohala longan variety, production, fertilizing, spacing, fruit quality, harvest season, and why longans have become one of Florida's most reliable tropical fruit trees. Before visiting the nursery, I also stop in the historic district of West Palm Beach to show some incredible mature longan trees growing right along the roadside. In this video you'll learn: • Why an avocado grove was replaced with longan trees • Why the Kohala variety is the commercial favorite • How many pounds of fruit one mature tree can produce • The proper spacing for longan trees • When longans fruit in Florida • Whether longans can be forced to fruit off-season • How to fertilize longan trees for heavy production • Common pests and disease concerns • The different longan varieties available • Why longans are becoming increasingly popular with Florida growers If you enjoy tropical fruit, backyard orchards, and learning from experienced growers, you'll enjoy this tour of one of Florida's premier tropical fruit nurseries. 👍 Like this video if you enjoyed it. 🔔 Subscribe for more fruit tree tours, rare tropical fruit videos, and growing tips. We Climbed The Cliff That Buried a Town in 1692
#jamaica #jamaicahistory #judgementcliff We Climbed The Most Treacherous Part of Judgement Cliff — Here's What We Found We thought we knew what to expect taking on this section of Judgement Cliff. We were wrong. In this Part 2 follow-up, we (myself and Mr. Ogilvie) tackle the steep, unstable climb to the top of Judgement Cliff — battling loose limestone rock, brutal inclines, and the mental toll of not knowing if the next step will hold. What we found at the top, looking down into the crater, was worth every burning muscle. Judgement Cliff sits in Llandewey, St. Thomas, Jamaica — one of the most dramatic and least-understood landmarks in the country. In 1692, the same catastrophic earthquake that swallowed the pirate city of Port Royal into the sea also triggered a massive landslide here, burying an entire plantation and its owner beneath tons of rock and earth. Locals at the time believed it was divine punishment — God's judgement — for the plantation owner's cruelty, and the name has stuck for over 300 years. This time, we didn't just view Judgement Cliff from below — we climbed it. From thick bush terrain to stripped, jagged grey rock that looks like the earth itself was wounded, this hike pushed us physically and mentally in ways we didn't expect. If you missed Part 1, go check it out to see where this journey began. One Love Jamaica is dedicated to uncovering Jamaica's erased, overlooked, and underrepresented history and heritage — the stories that never made it into the textbooks. Wonders of Utah | The State That Looks Like Another Planet | Travel Documentary 4K
Utah travel documentary in 4K covering amzing destinations across one of the most geologically extreme states in America, a cinematic journey through red rock canyons, ancient salt flats, and towering sandstone formations that reveal why Utah draws millions of travelers every year. This documentary visits landscapes so alien in color and texture that they seem pulled from another planet entirely, yet every location shown exists within a single state. Hit that subscribe button — it's completely free and really motivates me to create more content: https://www.youtube.com/@PathfindersTravel-YT?sub_confirmation=1 The journey opens at the Great Salt Lake, one of the largest salt lakes in the Western Hemisphere, before crossing to the Bonneville Salt Flats, a vast white expanse that has set land speed records and looks like frozen infinity. The documentary then moves south toward Monument Valley, where the towering sandstone buttes that have defined the visual identity of the American West rise hundreds of feet above the valley floor. Lake Powell follows, a reservoir carved into canyon walls that shift color through every hour of sunlight. Nearby, Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs and the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument offer slot canyons and layered rock formations built across millions of years. Kodachrome Basin State Park delivers columns of sedimentary stone in shades of red, orange, and cream. Zion National Park stands among the most visited parks in the United States, and the footage here captures the sheer vertical walls of Zion Canyon in full 4K clarity. Bryce Canyon National Park follows with its dense forest of hoodoos, while Capitol Reef National Park reveals the Waterpocket Fold, a 100-mile wrinkle in the earth's crust. Goblin Valley State Park and the San Rafael Swell showcase Utah's stranger geological formations before the documentary reaches Canyonlands National Park and Arches National Park outside Moab, home to over 2,000 natural sandstone arches. The film closes through the Wasatch Mountains, Provo Canyon, Salt Lake City, and Park City, showing the full range of Utah's landscapes. 📍 Chapters: 00:00 Welcome to Utah 02:29 Great Salt Lake 05:22 Bonneville Salt Flats 08:09 Monument Valley 10:48 Lake Powell 13:16 Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs 15:39 Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument 18:13 Kodachrome Basin State Park 21:05 Bryce Canyon National Park 23:58 Zion National Park 27:00 Snow Canyon State Park 29:14 Capitol Reef National Park 31:47 Capitol Reef Region 34:37 Goblin Valley State Park 36:57 San Rafael Swell 39:46 Canyonlands National Park 42:31 Arches National Park 45:08 Moab 47:56 Dinosaur National Monument 50:41 Wasatch Mountains 53:07 Provo Canyon 55:47 Provo 58:30 Salt Lake City 61:07 Park City 🎬 Watch Next: • Wonders of Alaska | The Most Amazing Places in Alaska | Travel Documentary 4K: https://youtu.be/2oFr1dlEdtM • Oregon | Is This the Most ALIEN Landscape in America? | Travel Documentary 4K: https://youtu.be/8vbk69xwBtk • Montana: Is This the ONLY State Where You Can Buy a MOUNTAIN? | Travel Documentary 4K: https://youtu.be/UE-07SBegPY 🌍 https://pathfinders-travel.com #PathfindersTravel #Utah #ZionNationalPark #TravelDocumentary
