Mango Season Is Ending… Here’s What Fruits Next in Florida
Take a tour through my South Florida tropical fruit garden to see what fruit is in season in August and what's coming next! Mango season may be winding down, but that doesn't mean fruit season is over. In this video, I show you what's producing now in the West Palm Beach/Lake Worth area and explain why understanding fruiting seasons is so important when choosing which tropical fruit trees to plant. We look at late-season mangoes, white sapote, star fruit (carambola), mamey sapote, sapodilla, jackfruit, avocado, miracle fruit, mulberry, jujube, persimmon and more. One of my main goals when planting fruit trees is to choose varieties strategically so I don't have everything ripening at the same time. I want fresh fruit coming from the yard throughout as much of the year as possible. You'll also see my Subelle white sapote, which produced hundreds of fruits this year after being in the ground for around 5–6 years. If you're growing tropical fruit in Florida or another warm climate, tell us in the comments: Where are you located, and what's fruiting in your yard right now? Your experience can help other growers understand what they may be able to grow in their area. Subscribe to Fruitful Trees for tropical fruit tree growing, backyard orchard tours, mango varieties, rare fruits, pruning tips and more. Africa's Most Dangerous Prey | When Predators Become the Prey | Wildlife Documentary
Africa's Most Dangerous Prey | When Predators Become the Prey | Wildlife Documentary : https://youtu.be/SVwNex2bm7k Across the African savannah, predators survive by identifying weakness. Lions watch the edges of herds. Cheetahs search for individuals separated from the group. Leopards depend on surprise. African wild dogs rely on coordination and endurance. But prey animals are not simply waiting to be hunted. Some of Africa’s most familiar herbivores possess defenses powerful enough to completely change an encounter. An African buffalo can weigh several times more than a lioness. Its horns, muscular body and willingness to stand with the herd can transform what appeared to be an opportunity into a situation predators must carefully reconsider. And the real strength of buffalo often comes from numbers. When a herd turns back instead of continuing to flee, lions that appeared to control the situation may suddenly find themselves surrounded by hundreds of large animals moving together. Zebras use another strategy. Speed helps them create distance, but powerful kicks can make approaching from behind extremely risky. A lion that mistimes its final move can lose the advantage in a fraction of a second. Giraffes create an even greater size problem. Their height allows them to detect threats from a distance, while their long, powerful legs make close approaches difficult for predators. Lions may cooperate, but every attempt must be balanced against the risk of getting too close. Wildebeest rely heavily on numbers, movement and the protection created by large herds. During migration, thousands of individuals can move together across open plains. Predators may isolate vulnerable animals, but the constant movement of the herd means opportunities can disappear almost as quickly as they appear. Warthogs are smaller, yet they are far from helpless. They can accelerate quickly, change direction abruptly and use underground burrows as defensive refuges. Their tusks also give predators another reason to avoid careless approaches. Even animals that appear slow can possess surprisingly effective defenses. Porcupines rely on modified quills that make attacking from the wrong angle extremely costly. Instead of outrunning predators, they use positioning and body orientation to make themselves difficult targets. For predators, the decision to continue is always a calculation. How large is the prey? Is it alone? How close is the herd? Is the terrain helping or limiting the approach? And most importantly—does the potential reward justify the risk? That is why a predator walking away does not necessarily mean it has failed. In the wild, avoiding unnecessary injury can be just as important as securing a meal. This wildlife documentary explores some of Africa’s toughest prey animals and the defensive strategies that can suddenly reverse the balance between hunter and hunted. From buffalo and zebras to giraffes, wildebeest, warthogs and porcupines, discover what happens when predators choose a target that refuses to behave like easy prey. Because on the African savannah, being hunted does not always mean being helpless. Sometimes, the prey changes the rules. ►Content Notice: This documentary is created for educational and entertainment purposes. The narration is generated using AI voice technology. Wild Heart of Europe: The Return of the Ancient Forest 4K | The Forest That Came Back to Life
Wild Heart of Europe - The Return of the Ancient Forest - In one of Europe’s wildest regions, a forest once destroyed is reborn by doing nothing, revealing how nature recovers when left alone. Wild Heart of Europe - The Return of the Ancient Forest (2020) Director: Lisa Eder Genre: Documentary, Nature Country: Germany Language: English Release Date: 2020 Synopsis: Wild Heart of Europe – The Return of an Ancient Forest explores the extraordinary transformation of the Bavarian Forest National Park, where nature has been allowed to evolve without human intervention. Following a devastating storm in 1983, thousands of fallen trees were left untouched—an unconventional decision that gave rise to a thriving wilderness. Today, this once “dead” forest has become a powerful symbol of natural resilience. Rare and endangered species such as lynx, wolves, moose, and wildcats have returned, reclaiming their place in a balanced ecosystem. The documentary raises profound questions about humanity’s relationship with nature, asking how much wilderness we need to survive—and what lessons this forest holds in an era of climate change. ···················································································· SUPPORT US! ✘ Membership - https://bit.ly/3pYmbNb MORE MOVIES! ► Ocean Life: https://bit.ly/425KqWy ► Nature & Animals: https://bit.ly/4223SDL ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/3MvVwyi #documentary #naturelovers #wildlife ···················································································· COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. Living in Africa: Where the World's Most Handsome Men Live | 4K Travel Documentary
Living in Africa: Where the World's Most Handsome Men Live | 4K Travel Documentary What if some of the most ancient ways of living on Earth never actually disappeared? Across Africa, people are still living by traditions shaped by cattle, water, desert, family, and survival. In some communities, beauty is judged by women in a once-a-year ceremony. In another, an entire city was built on water to escape slave hunters. Elsewhere, men still cut salt from one of the hottest places on Earth and carry it out by camel. In this documentary-style journey, we travel deep into nine extraordinary communities across Africa: from the Wodaabe and their spectacular Gerewol beauty festival, to Ganvie, the floating village on Lake Nokoue; from the Afar salt caravans of Ethiopia's Danakil Depression, to the Hamar initiation ceremony; from the stilt houses of Makoko, to the body paintings and scar traditions of the Karo; from the cattle-centered lives of the Samburu, to the blue-veiled Tuareg of the Sahara, and finally the astonishing Bodi Ka'el ceremony, where a man's status can depend on becoming the largest man in his village. These are not frozen pieces of the past. They are living societies adapting to drought, modern roads, mobile phones, changing rivers, national borders, and a rapidly urbanizing Africa. Some traditions are disappearing. Others survive because they still perform several jobs at once — carrying identity, wealth, history, family ties, and survival. Nine places. One continent. Almost nothing in common. Except that each community found its own answer to the same questions: What makes someone beautiful? When does a boy become a man? What is wealth? What do you owe the people who raised you? And where is it safe to build a home? This is Africa as you have rarely seen it.
