These giant rodents are home to the Amazon Rainforest! So you can meet them in Brazil 🇧🇷 for example. They love the water, it is basically their second home. So, why are they so chilled next to caimans? Well, the birds are the lucky ones when it comes to capybara chilled vibes. The capybaras also benefit from that. Birds are doing a natural cleaning service for them, picking off ticks and other bugs that are in their fur. And they are huge rodents that weigh just like a human adult (some weigh 70 kgs/ 154 pounds); they are the biggest rodent on earth. So the birds can find enough food. And they don't need to worry about being eaten by capybaras. Even though they have teeth that grow continuously like all rodents, they wear them down by eating aquatic plants and grasses. And their breakfast menu is poo. Yep. Shit. They do this because it helps them digest the grasses they ate the day before. So, no danger for the birds. And when they're done with one capybara, they can easily find another one since capybaras usually live in groups of up to 40.
