In a matter of weeks, poachers have reduced the number of rhino here to just five. Unable to protect them, reserve management have reached out to conservation group Elephants Rhinos and People (ERP)for help. The ERP team captures and translocates the reserve’s remaining rhinos to a top-secret rhino sanctuary where they will be protected with heavily armed guards. Meanwhile in Dinokeng Game Reserve, an emergency team has been called to a suspected rhino breakout. An electric fence is down. An adult male rhino is on the loose. Using tracking technology, the escaped rhino is located. The team must act swiftly save the rhino whom, in its panic has slammed and wedged himself into a small grove of trees, he’s barely breathing and in a critical state. In another reserve we meet Seha, the sole survivor of a vicious poaching attack that left him with gaping wounds extending to his nasal cavities. After life-saving surgery and some healing, it’ time to relocate Seha from his small yard to a rhino sanctuary. But he’s a stubborn Rhino and he’s not going to make the move easy for the team from Saving the Survivors. As an anti-poaching tactic, many rhino populations are being dehorned by vets in the hope that it will increase their chances of survival. A large team has been gathered in order to dehorn a number of southern white rhinos. It takes a highly skilled team with the most experienced wildlife veterinarians in the wold to pull off such an incredible task safely and humanely. Whilst sedated, the vets take the opportunity to do a number of health checks. I believe Matt had part of it and Pat had the rest of it, and then they put it together and sent me a copy. so grateful my friends! new wailers sources of this quality are truly rare and just wonderful. despite the minor blemishes on all copies that come from the set up and station, this is a joy to listen to and i don't think this will get any better. maybe someday we'll see a transfer from the mr or prefm source but that it has taken this long to get this source out, I'm not counting on it. 1st US performance - great show - overall, very enjoyable sound of course it still has the slight monitor and / or equipment noise and perhaps some fm interference that are present on the commonly available sources (faint hum or buzz and occasional slight crackle?) morever, we have had a copy with unknown generation and then in 2005 emerged a 3rd gen tape. i really enjoy it but it was edited by a person with little experience. i believe they did a nice job with what they had but there are a few differences between sources: * this source is a touch longer. it has more of the preshow recorded (bob's short intro). both are complete however. * the 3rd gen tape has it's volume boosted which also boosts the volume of the blemishes and crowd. as a result, i believe this source has a more mellow sound and feel overall. * the 3rd gen tape sounds tampered with, it has had some "equalizing": it sounds and feels a little unnatural while this seems to have a more steady sound and feel to it. this new source has a fuller range and dynamic of instruments and vocals. in other words, the equalizing seems to both amplify and bury the music resulting in a less authentic and pleasing experience for me. the edited tape version sounds more tinny and has less warmth than the unedited reel version. While I don't think you will be disappointed by either source, especially given the band and what's generally available from them, imo, it's critical that we get this source and upgrade into general circulation. Acredito que Matt ficou com parte e Pat com o resto, e então eles juntaram tudo e me enviaram uma cópia. muito grato meus amigos! novas fontes de wailers desta qualidade são verdadeiramente raras e simplesmente maravilhosas. apesar das pequenas manchas em todas as cópias provenientes da configuração e da estação, é uma alegria ouvir isso e não acho que vai melhorar. talvez algum dia veremos uma transferência da fonte mr ou prefm, mas demorou tanto para divulgar essa fonte, não estou contando com isso. 1ª apresentação nos EUA - ótimo show - no geral, som muito agradável é claro que ele ainda apresenta um leve ruído de monitor e/ou equipamento e talvez alguma interferência FM que está presente nas fontes comumente disponíveis (zumbido fraco ou zumbido e leve estalo ocasional?) * esta fonte é um pouco mais longa. tem mais do pré-show gravado (breve introdução de Bob). ambos estão completos, no entanto. * a fita de 3ª geração parece adulterada, teve alguma "equalização": soa e parece um pouco antinatural, enquanto parece ter um som e uma sensação mais constantes. esta nova fonte possui uma gama e dinâmica mais completa de instrumentos e vocais. em outras palavras, a equalização parece amplificar e enterrar a música, resultando em uma experiência menos autêntica e agradável para mim. a versão em fita editada soa mais metálica e tem menos calor do que a versão em rolo não editada. Embora eu não ache que você ficará desapontado com nenhuma das fontes, especialmente considerando a banda e o que geralmente está disponível nelas, na verdade, é fundamental que obtenhamos essa fonte e a atualizemos para circulação geral. In 2011 the earthquake that struck New Zealand’s South Island became the nation’s fifth-deadliest disaster. Thousands were forced to leave their homes and neighbourhoods were turned into ghost towns. Halfway around the world, in Italy, a country precariously perched on the border between the Eurasian and African Plates, we recall the events of the shocking 2009 L’Aquila earthquake. It reduced a beautiful 13th century city to rubble, killed more than 300 people, and its thousands of aftershocks frayed public and political nerves. Update: In February 2025, the reconstruction was at 78% in L'Aquila city and 88% in terms of construction projects. Going even further back in history, we look at the 1994 earthquake that rocked Los Angeles in the early hours of the morning. Killing 57, injuring thousands more and destroying 112,000 structures, it was little consolation that had the quake hit on a workday the death toll would have been much higher. They flatten entire cities, create mass homelessness, and take thousands of lives.
