Contact me at Cheetyx@gmail.com or 1876 450 9733. Thanks for your support Https://PayPal.me/elitejamm Hidden in the hills of eastern St. Thomas, Jamaica, the ruins of Boston and Buckingham Estate stand as silent reminders of the island's colonial past. In this documentary-style exploration, I visit the remains of these historic plantations to uncover the stories behind their crumbling walls. During the early eighteenth century, Boston and Buckingham were jointly owned by Hon. Thomas Bernard and Giles Diston. Following Bernard's death in 1728, probate records revealed an estate that included 360 enslaved people, whose forced labour fueled the production of sugar and rum—the foundation of Jamaica's colonial economy. Using historical records, maps, and on-site exploration, this video examines the estate's ownership, Thomas Bernard's will, the operation of the plantation, and the legacy left behind by one of eastern Jamaica's forgotten sugar estates. This is more than an exploration of old ruins—it's a journey into a chapter of Jamaica's history that should never be forgotten. 📍 Location: Boston & Buckingham Estate, St. Thomas, Jamaica If you enjoy videos about Jamaican history, forgotten places, abandoned estates, and historical exploration, be sure to Like, Comment, Share, and Subscribe. #BostonEstate #BuckinghamEstate #StThomasJamaica #JamaicaHistory #Jamaica #ForgottenJamaica #PlantationHistory #ColonialJamaica #ExploreJamaica #HistoricRuins #CaribbeanHistory #Documentary #Heritage #TravelJamaica #HistoryVlog

VISITING GEORGE MILLER AND HIS FAMILY IN NEW MARKET ST.ELIZABETH, MELISSA GRADUATED
Today, we returned to visit the Miller family, one of the families whose lives were completely turned upside down when Hurricane Melissa destroyed their home. Thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of our donors and supporters, through the SHAN ZENZEN– Look Out for Your Neighbor Foundation, we were able to help rebuild their home and give them a fresh start. ❤️ On this visit, we brought groceries and spent time catching up with the family. George Miller is a hardworking small farmer who works tirelessly to provide for his family, while his wife stands faithfully beside him, helping however she can. We were also thrilled to celebrate a very special milestone—their daughter Melissa has successfully graduated from kindergarten and will be entering Grade One this September! We are so proud of her and wish her nothing but success as she continues her educational journey. Although the family has made tremendous progress since losing everything, they still face many challenges. George shared with us that disease recently affected several of his crops, including his sweet potatoes and dasheen, resulting in significant losses and making it even more difficult to provide for his family. Your continued support can make a real difference. Whether through donations, sharing this video, or simply keeping this family in your prayers, every act of kindness helps bring hope to families like the Millers. Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping us continue to transform lives across Jamaica. ❤️ If you'd like to support the Miller family or the work of the SHAN ZENZEN – Look Out for Your Neighbor Foundation, please reach out using the contact information in the description or on our social media pages. 876-919-5344 Please Like, Comment, Share, and Subscribe to help us reach more people and continue changing lives together. #MelissaGraduates #KindergartenGraduation #Jamaica #HurricaneMelissa #MillerFamily #HelpingFamilies #CommunitySupport #FarmerLife #Hope #GivingBack #Humanity #NonProfit #SHANZN #LookOutForYourNeighbor #JamaicaVlog #KindnessMatters #SupportSmallFarmers #ChangingLives #Inspiration #YouTubeJamaica

10 Ancient Structures in the Caribbean No One Can Explain
For more than four thousand years before Columbus, the Caribbean was densely inhabited, and the people who lived here left their record cut and painted into stone. Ball courts aligned to the stars. Caves holding thousands of painted figures. Boulders covered in faces. Most of these places are still standing, and for many of them no one can say what they actually mean. This is a countdown of ten of them, island by island, with the dates, the figures, and the open questions. In this video, we count down all ten: → Fontein Cave in Arikok National Park, Aruba, where Caquetío handprints and geometric shapes were painted across the roof of a limestone cave centuries before European contact → The Carib Stone at Mount Rich and the carvings at Duquesne Bay in Grenada, more than sixty pre-Columbian carvings whose dating is still disputed → The Wingfield and Stone Fort carvings on Saint Kitts, where more than three hundred Taino faces are cut into the sandstone walls of a river gut → The engraved rocks of Trois-Rivières in Guadeloupe, around two hundred and thirty Arawak engravings on twenty-two stones, classified as Historic Monuments in 1974 → The Reef Bay petroglyphs on Saint John in the US Virgin Islands, where who carved them, how old they are, and what they mean are all still argued → Mountain River Cave in Saint Catherine, Jamaica, the largest collection of Taino painted art on the island, with at least one hundred and forty-eight pictographs and a sealed inner chamber → The Pomier Caves in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, fifty-five caves holding close to six thousand images, the largest collection of rock art in the Caribbean → Caguana in Utuado, Puerto Rico, the largest pre-Columbian ceremonial site in the West Indies, with court alignments that some researchers link to the equinox and the North Star → The Layou and Buccament carvings on Saint Vincent, including an eight-metre panel of script-like marks that some researchers believe may be an early form of writing And at number one: the caves of Punta del Este on the Isla de la Juventud, Cuba, inside a restricted military zone. Painted by the Ciboney around the year 850, the cave is covered in art, including a ring of 56 concentric circles, 28 red alternating with 28 black, with a single red arrow through the middle. Since the 1960s it has famously been claimed that the cave works as a solar observatory aligned to the equinox, but no independent study has ever confirmed it and Cuban archaeologists today treat the idea with caution. What is not in doubt is that the meaning of the circles remains, in the words of the specialists who have studied them, incomprehensible. JAMAICA WITH IRIE
Inside the most REMOTE communities in JAMAICA.
Cockpit Country is an interior region in west-central Jamaica, which is home to the largest wet limestone forest reserve on the island. Its iconic landscape is the result of many conical hills separated by bowl-shaped depressions, known as the "cockpits". Its terrain is so difficult to traverse that it has remained one of the most untouched and biologically diverse wild nature spots in the Caribbean. It’s a biodiversity ‘hotspot’ for plants and bird species and it plays the most crucial role in Jamaica’s ecosystem. ...And then the eye of Category 5 Hurricane Melissa went right over this forest on the 28th of October 2025. So, how much of it survived? What was it like on the ground here right after the storm, and how is the recovery going now? This unique footage was filmed within the first 2 weeks after the hurricane. 🔴 SUPPORT OUR PROJECT ► Support on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/jamaicawithirie ► Send one-time contribution (contact me directly) jamaicawithirie@gmail.com 🔴 SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR MOBILITY PARTNERS: ► Toyota Jamaica https://toyotajamaica.com/ ► Total Energies https://totalenergies.com.jm/ 🔴 ABOUT JAMAICA RISING. The Strategy That Turned Seychelles Into Africa's Richest Nation
Seychelles is often seen as a tropical paradise, but behind its turquoise waters and luxury resorts lies one of Africa’s most fascinating economic success stories. This video explores how a tiny island nation in the Indian Ocean transformed itself from a poor, agriculture-based economy into one of the world’s most exclusive luxury destinations. Welcome to “How Seychelles Built a Luxury Economy,” a deep dive into the strategies, policies, and bold decisions that made this possible. In the 1960s and 1970s, Seychelles was far from the luxury hub it is today. The islands relied heavily on coconuts, vanilla, and fishing, with very little infrastructure and limited trade. After gaining independence in 1976, the government set out on a daring mission to turn isolation into opportunity. Instead of chasing mass tourism like many other destinations, Seychelles focused on attracting fewer visitors who could spend more. This “high-end, low-impact” strategy became the foundation of its economic rise. Through smart partnerships with global hotel brands, controlled development policies, and strict environmental protection laws, Seychelles built a brand synonymous with exclusivity. The country made a conscious choice: it would sell quality over quantity. Each visitor wasn’t just a tourist, but a high-value guest contributing to both the economy and conservation efforts. But Seychelles didn’t stop at tourism. The government diversified the economy into offshore finance, luxury real estate, and sustainable fisheries creating new revenue streams that reduced dependence on visitors. Through its innovative “Blue Economy” model, Seychelles became a world leader in balancing environmental conservation with economic growth. It even issued the world’s first sovereign blue bond to fund marine protection and ocean-based industries. As the luxury economy grew, so did the focus on people. The government invested heavily in education, healthcare, and policies promoting local ownership of tourism profits. The goal wasn’t just to attract global wealth, but to ensure that Seychellois citizens benefitted directly from it. Today, Seychelles faces new challenges: climate change, over-reliance on tourism, and the need for inclusivity. Yet the nation continues to lead with innovation from sustainable tourism labels to digital transformation and its Vision 2033 plan to become a fully developed, high-income country. This video reveals how Seychelles managed to turn natural beauty into a sustainable business model one that other African countries can learn from. It’s a story about ambition, vision, and smart governance in the face of global challenges. Watch until the end to discover how Seychelles proved that you don’t need a massive population or vast land to succeed, just a powerful vision and the courage to think differently.
