This migration attracts fishermen, who take advantage of the abundant harvest. The river is so full that one fishing net can pull in up to 600 pounds of fish. Few studies have been done to track the migrating fish to measure the health of their population. So National Geographic Explorer Zeb Hogan has joined a fishing crew along the Tonle Sap River, which connects the largest lake in Southeast Asia to the Mekong River, to tag fish and determine how many survive the journey. While massive numbers of fish are on the move during the migration season, overfishing and dam building have taken a heavy toll on fish numbers. Goldman Hikes Oil Forecasts Again as Hormuz Shock Builds
Daan Struyven, Goldman Sachs Co-Head of Global Commodities Research, joins Bloomberg Businessweek Daily to discuss his team's latest oil outlook. Struyven and his team upgraded Brent to $90/barrel by the fourth quarter, citing lower Persian Gulf production, and ongoing Strait of Hormuz disruption. They now assume a normalization in Gulf exports by the end of June (vs. a prior forecast of mid-May) and see a slower recovery for Gulf production. However, a global recession is not in the team's base case unless the strait remains mostly closed in a "severely adverse" scenario. Struyven speaks with Carol Massar and Tim Stenovec. -------- Watch Bloomberg Radio LIVE on YouTube Weekdays 7am-6pm ET Saturday & Sunday 7am-10am ET WATCH HERE: http://bit.ly/3vTiACF Follow us on X: https://twitter.com/BloombergRadio Subscribe to our Podcasts: Bloomberg Daybreak: http://bit.ly/3DWYoAN Bloomberg Surveillance: http://bit.ly/3OPtReI Bloomberg Intelligence: http://bit.ly/3YrBfOi Balance of Power: http://bit.ly/3OO8eLC Bloomberg Businessweek: http://bit.ly/3IPl60i Listen on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with the Bloomberg Business app: Apple CarPlay: https://apple.co/486mghI Android Auto: https://bit.ly/49benZy Visit our YouTube channels: Bloomberg Podcasts: https://www.youtube.com/bloombergpodcasts Bloomberg Television: https://www.youtube.com/@markets Bloomberg Originals: https://www.youtube.com/bloomberg Quicktake: https://www.youtube.com/@BloombergQuicktake

The bison—sometimes referred to as a buffalo—is a living symbol of the American West. Despite once roaming the plains in numbers greater than 30 million, this iconic animal has recently come dangerously close to extinction. By 1900, extensive hunting and fur trading had reduced their population to less than one thousand. Lessons Learned From the White House Correspondents' Dinner Shooting
Donell Harvin, former DC Chief of Homeland Security and Intelligence and current faculty member at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, calls the shooting at Saturday's White House Correspondents' Dinner a "near miss," warning the president being within earshot of gunfire is "too close" and highlighting how "unprecedented" it is for one president to face three separate assassination attempts. He says the lack of a National Special Security Event designation and the concentration of top officials in one venue exposed vulnerabilities, even as he says the Secret Service response 'did exactly what it is supposed to do. Watch: Extremely Rare Tigers Caught On Camera In Thailand | National Geographic
It was thought that there was only one breeding population of the Indochinese tiger left in the wild, but for the first time in 15 years a new group has been discovered in eastern Thailand. Camera traps set up by Thailand's Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation caught photos of the extremely rare and endangered big cats. They also provided the first photographic evidence of tiger cubs in eastern Thailand. Poaching is the biggest threat to the tigers, and Panthera says it's estimated that only 221 remain in two Asian countries: Thailand and Myanmar. ➡ Subscribe: https://on.natgeo.com/4p5A0D6 About National Geographic: National Geographic is the world's premium destination for science, exploration, and adventure.
