Why the Dinosaurs’ Extinction is an Ongoing Puzzle | Nat Geo Explores
Dinosaurs ruled the world for roughly 140 million years—until they suddenly disappeared. While decades of research point to an asteroid impact at Chicxulub crater as the end of the dinosaurs' reign 66 million years ago, scientists weren't always so sure what happened to these mesmerizing creatures. Theories varied wildly throughout the twentieth century as the field of paleontology grew, but it wasn't until the 1980s that one theory emerged as a major breakthrough in the extinction mystery. Today's scientists continue to piece together the puzzle with discoveries that give us a clearer picture of what happened to the dinosaurs. ➡ Subscribe: http://bit.ly/NatGeoSubscribe ➡ Watch all clips of Nat Geo Explores here: https://bit.ly/NGExplores About Nat Geo Explores: From National Geographic Media, Nat Geo Explores breaks down the worlds of Science, History, and Animals. Schwab's Sonders Warns of 'Red Flags,' Possible Inflationary Boom
Charles Schwab Chief Investment Strategist Liz Ann Sonders says markets may have become complacent about the economic impact of rising energy prices. Speaking with Vonnie Quinn on "Bloomberg Open Interest," Sonders says the economy is on the brink of a potential spike in oil prices and there's a big disconnect between the soft, survey-based economic data and the actual hard data. -------- More on Bloomberg Television and Markets Like this video? Battle of Dunkirk: Operation Dynamo: The Miracle of the Dunkirk Evacuation During World War 2
Do you want to learn more about World War II, but don’t have time to read huge, long books? Then let The History Journals take you on an hourly history tour of the different facets of the war. In this edition, discover the true story of the Battle of Dunkirk and the heroic efforts of civilians who helped rescue Allied troops from the Nazis. Mention the spirit of Dunkirk today and people will associate the phrase with that “never say die” mentality so closely associated with the British as a nation. However, few would be able to tell you more than the fact that Dunkirk had something to do with World War II, and that it’s very probably a place in France. This is of course correct on both counts, although metaphorically speaking, just the tip of the iceberg. The story of Dunkirk and the incredible bravery of servicemen and civilians alike is not only dramatically moving, but also positively inspirational and this journal has been created to take you back to 1940, on a journey of discovery to find true courage in the face of terrible adversity. The “miracle” of Dunkirk, as Prime Minister Winston Churchill so eloquently described the great escape, happened early in World War II between the end of May and the beginning of June 1940. However before launching into a blow-by-blow account of the story of Dunkirk, the event does need to be set in context, and viewed as the conflict in Europe escalated with Adolf Hitler’s relentless march towards global supremacy. This documentary is subtitled in more than 30 languages. Autor: Liam Dale

Sanitation was unsophisticated, corpses were handled near live patients, and some doctors wore bloody aprons as badges of honor.
