China Blasts Trump ‘Two-Faced Acts’; Some Canada, Mexico Tariffs Delayed | Bloomberg The Pulse
China’s top diplomat accused Donald Trump of taking a hypocritical approach to bilateral ties and denounced tariffs. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi defended his nation’s actions on stemming the flow of fentanyl to the US on Friday at a high-profile briefing, and accused the Republican leader of using the issue as a pretext to pressure his government. “The US shouldn’t return good with evil or even impose arbitrary tariffs on Chinese products,” he said on the sidelines of the NPC meeting in Beijing. “No country should fantasize that it can suppress China and maintain good relations with China at the same time,” Wang said. Meanwhile, Trump exempted Mexican and Canadian goods covered by the North American trade agreement known as USMCA from his 25% tariffs, offering major reprieves to the US’s two largest trading partners. Ranomi Kromowidjojo Wins Women's 50m Freestyle Gold - London 2012 Olympics

Check out our website: https://oly.ch/WatchLiveSport Ranomi Kromowidjojo (NED) sets a new Olympic record to claim the gold medal in the women's 50m freestyle in the Aquatics Centre at the London 2012 Olympic Games (4 August). Aliaksandra Herasimenia (BLR) won silver in the event with Marleen Veldhuis (NED) winning bronze. Swimming has featured on the programme of all editions of the Games since 1896. The very first Olympic events were freestyle (crawl) or breaststroke. Backstroke was added in 1904. In the 1940s, breaststrokers discovered that they could go faster by bringing both arms forward over their heads. This practice was immediately forbidden in breaststroke, but gave birth to butterfly, whose first official appearance was at the 1956 Games in Melbourne. This style is now one of the four strokes used in competition. Women's swimming became Olympic in 1912 at the Stockholm Games. Since then, it has been part of every edition of the Games. The men's and women's programmes are almost identical, as they contain the same number of events, with only one difference: the freestyle distance is 800 metres for women and 1,500 metres for men.
