Why China Has Room to Boost Economy After Strong GDP Figures
China’s economy showed surprising strength in early 2025 with a sharp uptick in March, though a trade impasse with Donald Trump has prompted calls for stimulus to offset the tariff shock. Speaking on 'Bloomberg: The China Show,' JD.com chief economist Shen Jianguang says China retains the ability to further boost its domestic economy, which he believes has already hit the bottom of the business cycle. Shen is one of several experts who met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang earlier this month for consultations on the economy. -------- More on Bloomberg Television and Markets Like this video?
