Trump Says NATO Should Down Russian Jets, Tether Seeks $500B Valuation | The Opening Trade 9/24
President Donald Trump said NATO nations should shoot down Russian aircraft that violated their airspace. Tether is in talks with investors to raise between $15 billion and $20 billion in exchange for a roughly 3% stake through a private placement. The deal could value the company at around $500 billion, putting it into the same league as OpenAI and Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Tesla Sales Slump as BYD Surges in Europe Car Market, Denmark Drone Attack | The Pulse 9/25/2025
European car sales edged up again in August, as consumers continue to warm to electric and hybrid models produced by the region’s manufacturers in their fightback against Chinese rivals. US EV pioneer Tesla continued its downward spiral. European sales of the brand led by Elon Musk dropped 22% in August, giving it a market share of just 1.9%. Volkswagen, BMW and Mercedes-Benz all gained, while BYD outshone them all as it more than tripled deliveries, though sales still remain relatively low. In geopolitics, Denmark endured the second drone attack this week as authorities probe potential Russian involvement in the incidents and discuss how to involve NATO allies. Large professional drones spotted at five regional airports in Denmark disrupted flights and sparked a major police operation overnight. The airports are open now.
