A Nollywood movie has held its premiere at the largest screen cinema in Britain, London's BFI Imax. The film is called "Thy will be done" and was made by Nollywood director Obi Emelonye. It tells the story of a Pastor who has two wives. Focus on Africa's Peter Okwoche went along to the showing.

A British charity boss who abused vulnerable street children in Kenya has been sentenced in the UK to 17 years and four months in jail. Simon Harris was convicted of eight charges of indecent and sexual assault on youngsters in Gilgil, in Kenya's Rift valley and four of possessing indecent images of children. The court heard that he would lure boys to his house in Kenya by offering them food, shelter and money.The offences were committed while Harris was running a gap year charity that he set up in Kenya in the 1990s. Europe has been experiencing a record-breaking heat wave, with temperatures soaring to historic highs, particularly in France where temperatures were above 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Ghanaian celebrities have taken to social media to condemn the beating of a suspected gay man, opening a rare window for debate on homosexuality in a country where gay sex is illegal. A video circulated on social media showing a famous music promoter, nicknamed "Kinto" being beaten and threatened by an angry mob. Police have made an arrest and say Kinto was "framed" according to reports. But celebrities who know Kinto expressed disgust, with some going on to question Ghana's laws on homosexuality. A police spokesperson said one person had been arrested on suspicion of assault in the case and that they were not investigating Kinto with regard to gay sex.

Companies like Linamar depend on highly integrated supply chains that send components across borders multiple times before a vehicle is completed. Nobel laureate Paul Krugman argues that competition from China demands some trade barriers, while Council on Foreign Relations expert Shannon O’Neil says the region’s manufacturing strength depends on cross-border production.
