It has near white sands with a very small trace of black sand. Exposed when there is a sea running to the south, the waters close to shore are often quite cloudy due to the stirred up sand. At Hellshire you can expect to be greeted by the warm Caribbean Sea, people selling raw oysters (I dare you to try), horse rides, local music and the best fried fish you’ll ever taste! Jamaicans who now live abroad always stop by Hellshire for their escovitch fish fix. Hellshire Beach, locally referred to as just “Hellshire”, is located on the south coast of Jamaica about 20 minutes away from Kingston. Hellshire is not a known tourist spot mainly because of the distance from the north coast where most hotels and villas are located. If you grew up in Jamaica this was often a weekend “flex” to make with family or friends to have some of the best fresh fried fish known to mankind. Be prepared and don’t expect anything fancy. A BBC News Arabic investigation has uncovered systemic child abuse inside Islamic schools in Sudan, with boys as young as five years old routinely chained, shackled and beaten by the “sheikhs”, or religious men in charge of the schools. The investigation also found evidence of sexual abuse. For 18 months, reporter, Fateh Al-Rahman Al-Hamdani, filmed inside 23 schools across Sudan. He found boys shackled and chained and witnessed brutal routine beatings. Bloomberg Intelligence senior commodities strategist Mike McGlone says oil markets are largely accepting US assurances that the Strait of Hormuz remains open, with expanding Western Hemisphere supply and alternative export routes limiting the long-term impact of Gulf disruptions on crude prices.
