The fact that this natural paradise is known to only a few is due to its special history: for 130 years, large parts of the area have been used as a military training area for British and German forces. It is strictly forbidden for civilians to enter. Surprisingly, military use does not mean a disadvantage for nature, but a blessing in disguise. Here, wild animals live completely undisturbed by walkers, cyclists, or dogs most of the time. The Senne is home to highly specialized species that have been pushed back elsewhere by agriculture. This film leads the viewer into a charming world that is normally closed to civilians. Here’s a fun fact about me (if you couldn’t tell by the type of recipes I post) I am not a big fan of fast/ junk food but a good hot dog is something I totally enjoy. My version of a loaded hot dog might pale in comparison to others because I’m also not a huge fan of having a “cacophony ” of ingredients in any given dish. I believe in choosing the right ingredients and creating the perfect balance to achieve optimum results. “Anyone who wears hair extensions should be concerned.” Hair extensions worn by millions of women globally may contain chemicals linked to breast cancer, hormone disruption and reproductive harm, according to the largest study of its kind. Scientists found nearly 50 hazardous chemicals in nearly every sample tested in a range of synthetic and human hair products including wigs, braiding hair, weaves and wefted hair like clip-ins. The researchers from the Silent Spring institute in the US say a lack of regulation in the hair extension industry leaves the burden of ensuring safety on the consumer. "If they were never on the market, we would never have to choose," says Dr Elissia Franklin, the study's lead author. Hair dyes and straighteners have also been linked to increased risk of breast cancer in previous studies. However, unlike hair extensions, these products are regulated as cosmetic products and undergo safety tests. The findings, published in the American Chemical Society journal, have prompted calls for stronger regulation of the multibillion-dollar industry and greater transparency for consumers.
