Fruitful Trees
Late Season Zill Mango Varieties with Gary Zill
In this video, I sit down with Gary Zill, the creator of many of the amazing-tasting mango varieties now available. Each variety has its own season to produce fruit. Among the many Zill mango varieties, there are general groups based on when the trees produce mangos each year — known as early-season, mid-season, and late-season mangos.
If you're planning to get a few mango trees, it's a smart idea to choose varieties from different seasons so you can enjoy mangos over a longer period.
In this video, Gary and I focus on late-season Zill mango varieties. We also take a walk with Marcello, who is the main guy taking care of the trees at Zill’s nursery, and we check out some of these late-season mangos out in the field.
I’m really looking forward to coming back during the late mango season to try these mangos with Gary Zill — but for now, enjoy the information we share here!
