What is Spanish Bridge? Spanish Bridge is an old stone bridge located over the White River, near the border of St. Ann and St. Mary parishes, close to Ocho Rios. It’s not a bridge used for cars or heavy traffic—more like a historical and recreational spot deep in nature. The bridge itself dates back to the Spanish colonial period, hence the name. ⸻ 🌊 Why It’s Popular • Crystal-Clear River: The White River is cool, clean, and flows gently in that area—perfect for a refreshing swim. • Cliff Jumping: There are natural platforms around the bridge for jumping into the river, a major attraction for thrill-seekers. • Rope Swings: Locals often set up rope swings from trees near the water, giving it a fun, adventure-park vibe. • Lush Surroundings: The area is full of trees, vines, and limestone rocks—very peaceful and “off the beaten path.” ⸻ 📜 History & Culture • The bridge is believed to have been built in the 1600s or 1700s, possibly by the Spanish or early British colonizers. • It served as a small river crossing, not a major highway, and now remains as a historic remnant of Jamaica’s colonial past. • Locals have used the spot for decades as a “country chill spot,” often for Sunday cookouts and relaxing. ⸻ 🧭 How to Get There • Located about 20–30 minutes outside of Ocho Rios. • Accessible via White River Valley, but the road can be rough and may require a local guide or a high-clearance vehicle. • GPS might not be 100% accurate; best to ask locals or use a local tour guide.

Late Season Zill Mango Varieties with Gary Zill

Late Season Zill Mango Varieties with Gary Zill
In this video, I sit down with Gary Zill, the creator of many of the amazing-tasting mango varieties now available. Each variety has its own season to produce fruit. Among the many Zill mango varieties, there are general groups based on when the trees produce mangos each year — known as early-season, mid-season, and late-season mangos. If you're planning to get a few mango trees, it's a smart idea to choose varieties from different seasons so you can enjoy mangos over a longer period. In this video, Gary and I focus on late-season Zill mango varieties. We also take a walk with Marcello, who is the main guy taking care of the trees at Zill’s nursery, and we check out some of these late-season mangos out in the field. I’m really looking forward to coming back during the late mango season to try these mangos with Gary Zill — but for now, enjoy the information we share here! The Dutch Delta Region - EP 1 | Wildlife of Holland
The Dutch Delta Region - EP 1 - The scenery and wildlife of Holland. The Dutch Delta Region (2017) Director: Mark Verkerk Genre: Documentary Country: France Language: English Also Known As: Wild Holland - The Living Delta Release Date: 2017 (Netherlands) Synopsis: Wild Holland celebrates the diverse natural heritage of the Dutch rivers and delta region while sketching the cultural and historical context that has played such a vital part in shaping them. It is often said that while God created the world, the Dutch created Holland. Using cutting edge cinematic techniques ranging from eagle’s eye aerial views to unprecedented underwater scenes revealing rarely scene secret worlds — Wild Holland presents a portrait of this unique wetland area of Europe as never seen before; capturing it in an important moment of change, when many of the natural processes, all but strangled by dikes, pumps and canals, are recovering. A time when new life is flooding back into the delta. Wild Holland contrasts sweeping scenes that capture the beauty of these waterways, with intimate eye-opening, sometimes heart-warming portraits of the birds, animals, fish and insects who live there. The film explores the delta through the eyes of five main characters: the white tailed sea eagle, the beaver, the hare, the stickleback and the large scarce blue butterfly. Each animal gives us access to a different facet of the delta; from the macro to the micro; from mysterious underwater worlds to panoramic aerial views. ···················································································· SUPPORT US! ✘ Membership - https://bit.ly/3pYmbNb MORE MOVIES! ► Ocean Life: https://bit.ly/425KqWy ► Nature & Animals: https://bit.ly/4223SDL ► All Playlists: https://bit.ly/3MvVwyi #animals #wildlife #oceans ···················································································· COPYRIGHT: All of the films published by us are legally licensed. Most Dangerous Ways To School: Siberia, India & Burma Most Dangerous Ways To School - Philippines, Colombia & Bolivia: https://youtu.be/yY53YY0KfRY Stas, 7, has always lived on the vast, icy plains of Siberia. Now his life is about to change. He will be staying at boarding school for the next year. It takes him several hours by sled to rendezvous with the helicopter that picks up all the nomadic children from the region. In the Indian village where 10-year-old Chanda lives, everybody works at the mine. She does too. She begins her day each morning at dawn and has to wait before she can put on her school uniform to start the long walk to school. Chanda walks for an hour through the stifling air of one of the most polluted regions in the world. Still, she dreams of a better life. San and Wai know the temples of Burma like the back of their hand and for a good reason: they visit them to sell drawings to tourists there. Only by earning enough money to pay for tuition, can they attend school two hours away across the rice fields. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #MostDangerousWaysToSchool ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios.
