The Complete Story of Daniel | The Captive Who Outlived the Empire That Conquered Him | Bible Story
This video tells the complete story of Daniel—from a young captive in Babylon to the prophet who stood before kings, survived the lions’ den, and received visions of future kingdoms.
You’ll understand how Daniel remained faithful in exile, what his dreams and prophecies meant, and why the Book of Daniel still matters to the biblical story today.
The Book of Daniel is far more than the famous story of the lions’ den. Daniel begins as a young Judean taken into Babylon after Jerusalem falls under foreign power. He learns the language of the empire, serves pagan kings, faces pressure to compromise, and repeatedly chooses faithfulness over fear.
This Bible documentary follows Daniel through Nebuchadnezzar’s mysterious dream, the golden image and fiery furnace, the king’s humiliation, Belshazzar’s final feast, the fall of Babylon, and Daniel’s confrontation with the lions. It then explores Daniel’s visions of beasts, the Ancient of Days, the Son of Man, the ram and goat, the seventy weeks, future persecution, resurrection, judgment, and the everlasting Kingdom of God.
Daniel’s story reveals how faith can survive even when kingdoms, rulers, cultures, and circumstances constantly change.

📝 INTERPRETIVE NOTE
The main events, people, dreams, visions, and teachings presented in this video are based primarily on the biblical Book of Daniel. Historical background concerning Babylon, Persia, Greece, Antiochus IV Epiphanes, political structures, and the ancient Near East is used to provide context.
Some explanations of prophetic symbols—especially the four kingdoms, the seventy weeks, the “little horn,” the kings of the north and south, the abomination of desolation, and end-times chronology—are interpretive. Jewish and Christian traditions do not agree on every detail of these passages. Where the Bible does not explicitly identify a ruler, date, motive, or final prophetic fulfillment, the video distinguishes historical connections from broader theological or eschatological interpretation.
