Across the vast deserts of Australia, thousands of pelicans travel deep into the outback when rare floods transform the dry landscape into a temporary wetland paradise. In Germany, the Rieselfelder Münster — once a sewage treatment area — has become one of Europe’s richest wetland ecosystems, showing how nature can reclaim spaces created by humans. The journey continues through Europe’s landscapes shaped by the last Ice Age, where alpine flowers, muskoxen and northern wilderness still carry the memory of a frozen past. Finally, the collection turns to the forests of Europe and North America, where scientists race to save the majestic elm tree from Dutch Elm Disease, a microscopic but devastating threat spread by the elm bark beetle. Together, these films form a powerful portrait of resilience, transformation and survival. They show that nature can flourish in the most unlikely places — often in ways we are only beginning to understand. The Medici Conspiracy: Murder at the Heart of the Renaissance | Full Documentary
The Medici are the most powerful family in Renaissance Florence. They dominate politics and the economy. The old-established Pazzi family wants to break the Medici influence and plans an assassination attempt on the two Medici brothers Giuliano and Lorenzo. During the Easter fair in 1478, Francesco de Pazzi and a group of men attack the unsuspecting brothers. Giuliano dies instantly due to wounds caused by the knife of Francesco de Pazzi. The brutality of the deed can still be seen today in the bones of the victim. But Lorenzo manages to escape. The coup d'état in Florence fails. The perpetrators are soon caught and the search for those behind the conspiracy begins. Florence Kasumba, together with historians such as Marcello Simonetta, gathers clues from medicine, psychology and art history. Impossible Places: Earth's Most Extreme Spots You Haven't Seen in Half a Century | 4K Documentary
Impossible Places: Earth's Most Extreme Spots You Haven't Seen in Half a Century | 4K Documentary Across the planet, there are remote regions that have remained largely isolated and rarely documented for decades. In this video, we explore extreme environments shaped by harsh climates, difficult terrain, and long-term geographic isolation. From abandoned settlements and inaccessible valleys to remote plateaus and hidden natural formations, each location reveals landscapes that few people have witnessed in recent generations. For many viewers over fifty, these places may bring back memories of classic exploration documentaries that revealed parts of the world long before modern tourism and social media transformed global travel. Many of these locations still remain beyond established routes, where infrastructure is absent and natural forces continue to shape the terrain without interruption. These are not typical destinations. They are defined by environmental instability, limited accessibility, and conditions that demand careful movement and adaptation. In many regions, isolation has preserved landscapes that have changed very little over time. If you’re ready to explore some of Earth’s most isolated and forgotten extreme locations, this journey is for you. Like, comment, and subscribe to New Travel Insight for more unseen places around the world.

Sudan: Surviving a Broken Nation | Free Documentary
Sudan: Surviving a Broken Nation | Free Documentary Namibia - A Country Divided: https://youtu.be/msQmULCjSoA Sudan, ancient Nubia, is home to many unique natural and archaeological treasures. This land of the black pharaohs has even has more pyramids than its famous neighbour, Egypt – yet there are no visitors, no tourists, and no foreign travellers. Cut off from the rest of the world, Sudan, a former save haven for international terrorists, is now one of the most unstable countries on the planet. Since gaining independence in 1956, the country has experienced 18 coup attempts. After thirty years under the military-Islamist dictatorship of Omar al-Bashir, Sudan experienced a brief period of democracy in 2019. This was short-lived however, as the country was subject to a new coup which bought General al-Burhan and his military junta to power in October 2021. Since then, Sudan has been completely closed off from the rest of the world. Every week, thousands of citizens gather around the country to protest coup d’état – and women are the face of this revolution. They yearn for freedom after years of suffering under military dictatorship and sharia law, where they were routinely flogged and humiliated. One women explained her involvement in the fight for freedom, “We distribute these paint cans around the neighbourhood to announce our protests and we will write slogans in favour of the revolution”. By spraying these words of dissent around the city, these women risk prison and torture. Although the protesters know that they will be fiercely repressed and try to protect themselves the best they can, they can only make do with temporary shields and plastic helmets. Nothing to shelter them from the live bullets shot by the army – which even target doctors and young children. All the while, they run the risk falling victim to the relentless arbitrary arrests. The political crisis has also worsened the economic situation with inflation rate running at 380%. Even before the coup, Sudan was one of the poorest countries in the world, now however, even middle-class people are finding it increasingly difficult to survive. More than two million city-dwellers have left to seek their fortune in the desert just to get by. There, they hope to find a few nuggets of gold to change their life… #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #sudan ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios.
