NASA commercial cargo provider Orbital ATK is scheduled to launch its eighth mission to the International Space Station at 7:37 a.m. EST Saturday, Nov. 11 from NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. Live launch coverage will begin at 7 a.m. on NASA Television and the agency’s website. On Friday, Nov. 10 scientists and researchers discussed some of the investigations and technology demonstrations to be delivered to the station during a prelaunch briefing. Under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services contract, Cygnus will carry about 7,400 pounds of crew supplies and hardware to the space station, including science and research in support of dozens of research investigations that will occur during Expeditions 53 and 54. In Uganda, naked photos of the musician Desire Luzinda, have gone viral on social media networks and have been published in newspapers. Her ex-boyfriend is alleged to have posted them on Facebook - the post saying "to teach her a lesson". Uganda's Minister for Ethics wants HER arrested, accusing her of engaging in pornography. The Federal Reserve held rates steady as the majority of FOMC members voted to hold rates unchanged, with three members dissenting in favor of a rate hike. This is the fifth straight meeting where fed officials have elected to leave rates unchanged. Talking to reporters, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh reiterated his goal to bring down inflation and but stopped short of saying he would raise rates. Warsh said raising rates 'could well be part of that solution,' but not in isolation. Time and time again, dubious studies are being published and serve only one purpose: fuelling the multi-billion euro weight loss industry. German experts point the finger at a cartel of nutritionists who recommend questionable weight loss diets and promise healthy results based on questionable short-term studies. Similar results cannot be detected in long-term studies. And yet these studies find their way into well-respected publications and subsequently motivate physicians to prescribe those diets to their patients. This groundbreaking documentary shows just how effectively science is being misused by the industry. The authors of this film publish their own weight-loss study, which is so absurd that really no one should take it seriously. Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 53 Flight Engineer Paolo Nespoli of Italy and ESA (the European Space Agency) discussed the accomplishments of his mission during an in-flight conversation Nov. 6 with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni. Nespoli is in the final month of a five-and-a-half-month mission aboard the orbiting laboratory. The crew is scheduled to return to Earth in a Russian Soyuz spacecraft Dec. 14, landing in south central Kazakhstan.

Swaady Martin-Leke says she decided to "implant" her luxury brand in South Africa. The businesswoman opened her first shop in Johannesburg.
