Kenya is the land of languages - 68 of them to be precise (although one is extinct). English and Kiswahili are the principal languages, but the country has dozens of ethnic groups, most of which have their own dialects. The diversity is particularly apparent in Kibera, one of the largest slums in Africa, where BBC Pop Up also found young people using a form of slang called Sheng. NASA is honoring visionary physicist Stephen Hawking, who died at his home in Cambridge, England, early Wednesday morning. Acting NASA Administrator Robert Lightfoot noted Hawking’s role as a “passionate communicator who wanted to share the excitement of discovery with all,” adding that his “impact cannot be overstated.” “Stephen’s breakthroughs in the fields of physics and astronomy not only changed how we view the cosmos, but also has played, and will continue to play, a pivotal role in shaping NASA’s efforts to explore our solar system and beyond,” said Lightfoot. Former England Women's National Football Team player and sports investor, Eni Aluko, says UEFA's plans to boycott FIFA tournaments if President Gianni Infantino proceeds with his plans to sell stakes in a new commercial entity to investors shows a "lack of consultation" by football's world governing body. FIFA’s proposal plans to transfer major commercial and tournament operations into a new entity called FIFA Forward Enterprise. The vehicle would initially be valued at about $20 billion, with FIFA seeking to raise as much as $4.2 billion from outside investors while retaining sole control through majority representation on its board.
