Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has said he is a prime target of the Islamist group Al-Shabab (affiliated to Al-Qaeda). In an interview with the BBC's Paul Njie, he said the militants had tried to assassinate him five times in the last two years, most recently in March.  He insists the group has been weakened.  Analysts have, however, pointed to its recent territorial gains as evidence it remains a major threat.  President Mohamud also dismissed fears of clashes between Egyptian and Ethiopian peacekeepers in Somalia, saying his country would not become a battleground for regional disputes. Here is the description of the Dot Mango from Tropical Acres Farms' website https://www.tropicalacresfarms.com/product-page/dot Dot #mango was selected by the Zill family of Boynton Beach, FL and named after Dorothy Zill, wife of Laurence Zill and mother of Walter, Gary and Marlys Zill. Originally it was speculated to be a Carrie seedling, though USDA pedigree analysis estimated it was a progeny from the 'Zill' cultivar, to which it also probably bears more resemblance in terms of shape and ripening traits. It may have been a cross between Dot and Carrie. Dot is known for its exceptionally rich, robust and delicious flavor that many people treasure. Its flavor is unique and difficult to classify by group, though we identify it as classic in flavor. It is ovate in shape and typically yellow at maturity, sometimes with a little pink blush. The fruit are medium-sized, averaging close to or just under a pound in weight. The flesh is yellow, fiberless, very aromatic and contains a monoembryonic seed. The trees are moderately vigorous-to-highly vigorous growers with spreading, open canopy. They tend to be precocious and flower regularly, and are consistent producers. They are highly anthracnose prone though and will not perform well in deeper interior areas. Interestingly, Dot appears to be highly resistant to mango bacterial black spot and rot fungi. The flowers are very prone to powdery mildew however. The fruit are early-to-mid season, and ripen between June and July. Their season tends to be fairly extended compared to most mangos, almost always lasting several months.. They must not be allowed to ripen on the tree or will turn overripe and musky, and they will hang on well past peak ripeness if not harvested on time. They are best picked as soon as they show a small amount of yellow color break. But a properly ripened Dot is truly incredible to taste! It is among the finest tasting mangos we grow. No one would have bet on the result of the introduction of seven Slovenian bears, two males and five females, in the woods of Adamello, in Trentino. But they, against all expectations, have made it, and now they are multiplying and crossing the Alps to go to Europe in search of fruit, livestock and especially honey, forcing people to defend their bees with electrified fences or put them on safe on trucks. But while the Alpine brown bear goes big, his cousin Abruzzo counts the days that separate him from extinction. The last twelve fertile females, the only ones capable of generating teddy bears, approach homes and face any risk of getting away from violent and aggressive males and finding something to eat for themselves and their puppies. There are those who want to hunt them, who wants to leave them free, who wants to play them in the zoo and public opinion is divided.
