It was named after the wife of Craig Campbell. The original tree has reportedly been a very light producer. The fruit are large, ovoid and turn yellow when ripe. The flesh is medium-firm, fiberless, and has a very high quality, rich-sweet balanced classic flavor very similar to Edward, with perhaps a touch more sweetness than its parent normally. We grafted a tree into Karen Michelle in 2017 to evaluate its production habits. The tree began fruiting in 2020 and has produced each year since. It has a moderately vigorous growth habit with a dense canopy. The fruit has ripened early-to-mid season for us so far and has been very resistant to mango bacterial black spot.
