God Buried Moses Himself—So Why Is His Grave Unknown?
Why did God bury Moses Himself, and why has his grave remained unknown? Discover the mysterious death and burial of Moses, one of the Bible's greatest prophets. In this biblical documentary, you'll understand what Scripture reveals about Moses' final days, his hidden burial place, and the mysterious dispute over his body mentioned in Jude 1:9. Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, received God's commandments, and guided an entire nation through the wilderness. Yet despite his extraordinary calling, he was not permitted to enter the Promised Land. According to Deuteronomy 34, Moses died on Mount Nebo, overlooking the land of Canaan. Scripture describes his burial in Moab, but no one knew the exact location of his grave. Why was Moses buried outside the Promised Land? Why did his burial place remain unknown? What does the dispute between Michael the archangel and the devil reveal about Moses' body? And why did Moses later appear alongside Elijah during the transfiguration of Jesus? Through biblical history, Scripture-based analysis, and careful examination of ancient traditions, this documentary explores one of the most fascinating mysteries in the Old Testament. **Main Bible References:** - Deuteronomy 34:1–12 — Moses' death, burial, and unknown grave. - Numbers 20:1–13 — Moses' actions at Meribah and God's judgment. - Deuteronomy 32:48–52 — Why Moses could not enter the Promised Land. - Jude 1:9 — Michael's dispute with the devil concerning Moses' body. - Matthew 17:1–8 — Moses and Elijah at the transfiguration of Jesus. - Luke 9:28–36 — The transfiguration and Jesus' coming departure. **Biblical Interpretation Note:** Scripture records Moses' burial and states that his grave was unknown, but it does not explicitly explain why the location remained unknown. Suggestions about preventing idol worship and the meaning of the dispute in Jude 1:9 are interpretations, not established biblical facts. This documentary distinguishes Scripture from historical traditions and theological speculation. Explore the mystery of Moses' grave and discover how his final journey connects to God's promises, Israel's history, and the larger biblical story. The-Complete-Story-of-the-Twelve-Tribes-of-Israel-_-From-Jacob's-Sons-to-Kingdoms-and-Exile
How did the Twelve Tribes of Israel rise from Jacob's family, become a powerful nation, and eventually fall into division, conquest, and exile? Discover the complete biblical history of the 12 Tribes of Israel, from Abraham's covenant and Joseph's journey to the kingdoms of Israel and Judah, the Assyrian conquest, the Babylonian exile, and God's promise of restoration. The Twelve Tribes of Israel began with the sons of Jacob, a family marked by rivalry, betrayal, reconciliation, and God's enduring covenant promises. In this complete Bible history documentary, follow Jacob's descendants from their origins in Canaan through Joseph's rise in Egypt, Israel's slavery, Moses and the Exodus, and the covenant at Mount Sinai. Discover how Joshua led Israel into the Promised Land, why the tribes received different territories, and how Ephraim, Manasseh, and Levi influenced the biblical lists of twelve tribes. Explore the turbulent period of the Judges, the rise of Saul, David, and Solomon, and the tragic division of the united kingdom into northern Israel and southern Judah. Learn why the Assyrian Empire conquered Israel, how Babylon destroyed Jerusalem, and what happened to the scattered tribes after exile. Finally, examine the mystery of the Lost Tribes of Israel, the prophetic promises of restoration, and how the twelve tribes remain significant throughout biblical history. **Main Bible Sources:** - Genesis 12; 25–35; 37–50 - Exodus 1–20 - Numbers 1–2; 13–14; 26 - Deuteronomy 27–34 - Joshua 1–24 - Judges 1–21 - 1 Samuel 8–31 - 2 Samuel 2–7 - 1 Kings 11–12 - 2 Kings 17; 24–25 - Ezekiel 37:15–28 - Hosea 1–3 - Jeremiah 30–31 - Matthew 1:1–17 - James 1:1 - Revelation 7:4–8 **Interpretation Note:** This documentary follows the biblical narrative while incorporating historical background and scholarly interpretation. The identities, territorial boundaries, and later histories of Israel's tribes involve historical uncertainties. The term "Lost Tribes of Israel" refers to questions surrounding the descendants of the northern tribes after the Assyrian conquest; Scripture does not provide a complete record of their subsequent locations or genealogies. Proposed connections to modern populations remain debated. Prophetic passages concerning Israel's restoration are interpreted differently across Jewish and Christian traditions. Historical reconstructions and theological interpretations are distinguished from explicit biblical statements. **Watch More Complete Bible Stories:** https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOEH4wB4phDU Explore more fascinating stories about ancient Israel, the Old Testament, biblical archaeology, the kings of Israel and Judah, and the mysteries of Scripture. Inside Bernie Mac’s INSANE Chicago Empire… His Family “STILL GETTING PAID” 18 Years Later
Everyone knows Bernie Mac: the “I ain’t scared of you” set on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, The Original Kings of Comedy with Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer and D.L. Hughley, Frank Catton in Ocean’s Eleven, and The Bernie Mac Show on Fox. Almost no one knows how his family is still getting paid 18 years after his death. Bernard Jeffrey McCullough, a South Side Chicago kid raised by his mother and grandmother, turned a short window of peak fame into paperwork that outlived him. He put his name, his stand-up, and a producer credit on a sitcom that cleared the 100-episode syndication line and was resold to FX, BET and Hulu. He stacked credits across the $1.1 billion Ocean’s trilogy, Transformers, Guess Who, Mr. 3000, and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, released three months after he died. Today his widow Rhonda McCullough Gilmore and daughter Je’Niece lead an estate holding SAG-AFTRA residual rights, control of his name and likeness under the Illinois Right of Publicity Act until 2058, a biopic partnership with John Legend’s Get Lifted, and a sarcoidosis research center bearing his name at UI Health. The family owns none of the titles. They own the claim. This is the ownership story of Bernie Mac, and why “comedian” is the wrong word for what he left behind. 📘 Get THE EMPIRE PLAYBOOK, the 8 moves that separate the rich from the wealthy: https://payhip.com/b/QcSx8 The same wealth-building moves behind the empires on this channel, rebuilt into a system you can start this week, from exactly where you are. 31 pages. Inside Kingston’s Secret Rastafari Orchestra
Downtown Kingston came alive for the ARTWALK Festival on Church Street and Water Lane, and it was a treat for the eyes and ears. In this video, I walk through the festival, talk with local vendors, and take in the artwork, natural products, leather goods and Jamaican books on display. Then I catch a live performance by the Binghistra Movement. What is Binghistra? It’s the concept of veteran guitarist Earl “Chinna” Smith: binghi music blended with an orchestra. Chinna’s goal is to carry this old, deeply cultural music into the mainstream while treating it as a show of respect to tradition. In 2018 he was hosting a monthly Groundation on Water Lane to keep traditional Jamaican music alive in the heart of the city. Today, those same streets host the festival. Some history is written in books. This one is still being played. 📚 Sources The Gleaner, “Chinna Smith’s next concept – Binghistra” (October 4, 2018) The Gleaner, “Binghistra to launch new album ‘Still Beating Down Babylon’ at ArtWalk Festival” (August 26, 2023) 👍 If you enjoyed this, like, comment and subscribe to One Love Jamaica for more of Jamaica’s history and heritage. 💬 Have you experienced Binghi music live? 13 Secret Places in Jamaica That Almost No One Knows
Lightning struck the gunpowder magazine of a fort on Kingston Harbour in 1763, according to the Jamaica National Heritage Trust, and the blast killed 300 people and broke windows up to 17 miles away. That fort is the last of 13 places in Jamaica that almost no one knows. Most of the others stay little known for plain reasons: a road the Gleaner calls one of the loneliest on the island, a ruin without signs, a waterfall reached through a private yard, a cave closed to the public. Several are still waiting on a decision. In this video, we count down all thirteen: → Clarendon: a short, clear river with no alligator in it, where researchers reported in 2003 that four West Indian manatees had been held since 1981, and recommended releasing the three females they found at sea → St Ann: one of the biggest bat roosts on the island, in a cave about 45 metres down by the Gleaner's account, closed to the public to protect the colony → St Thomas: a great house built like a fort by enslaved people, with loopholes for cannon and muskets, destroyed in the 1907 earthquake and reached by a road online maps hardly recognise → Trelawny: a rock shelter about 15 metres from a country road, where a scientist dug out the jaw and thigh bone of a monkey in January 1920, a species thought to have died out around 900 years ago → St Ann: a lake that comes and goes on low ground beside the main road to the north coast, which by February 2006 had affected some 88 families and stopped burials in the town → St Andrew: a garden set up in 1868 for the tree that yields quinine, between 4,500 and 5,500 feet up, at the end of a road the national park says needs four-wheel drive → St Mary: a waterfall named for the leader of the 1760 rising, reached in one writer's account through a private yard, where local legend says he hid in caves beneath the rocks → Portland: a 64-acre island off Port Antonio, bought by Errol Flynn in the early 1940s, where the Port Authority had put US$2.7 million by 2007 before a 2025 promise to make it a nature reserve → St Andrew: an evacuation camp ordered in 1940 for people from Gibraltar, with 112 wooden barracks behind a wire fence, on the ground where the University of the West Indies at Mona now stands → St Catherine: the hilltop where the first Rastafarian village was set up in 1940, raided from 1941 and destroyed in 1954, with ownership of the land still in doubt as of 2022 → Kingston Harbour: a small cay where the body of the pirate Calico Jack was hung in a cage in 1720, and where in 2002 about 20 percent of its face was cut into a wall 18 metres deep → St Andrew: an army camp 4,200 feet up in the Blue Mountains, built after disease on the plains was killing one soldier every two and a half days on average And at number one: Fort Augusta, on the western shore of Kingston Harbour in St Catherine. Building began in 1740 on a swamp that had to be filled first, and the fort was finished in the 1750s for 80 guns. Much later it became the island's only prison for women, until the inmates were moved out in 2017 over mosquitoes and the threat of flooding. In 2021 a plan to reuse it was set aside because it sits on the sea coast, in the path of storms. Subscribe if you want the next list when it lands.
