He played a crucial role in securing Argentina's first-ever Olympic medal in rugby sevens by defeating Great Britain 17-12 in the third-place match. Moneta's performance earned him the prestigious title of World Rugby's Men's Sevens Player of the Year for 2021. Shifting to field hockey, the Argentina national field hockey team had a significant breakthrough at the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning the gold medal by defeating Belgium 4–2. This historic victory marked the first time an Argentine national hockey team had secured Olympic gold.
