3 Signs You’re With the Right Person or if You Are Settling (Best Relationship Advice)
How do you know if the person you love is “the one”?
How do you know when it's time to walk away?
How do you resolve your differences without blowing up your relationship?
If you've been questioning your relationship, struggling to find love, feeling like you're losing yourself in your partner's life, or trying to get over a breakup, this conversation is for you.
In this incredibly personal, funny, and honest conversation, Mel sits down with her 27-year-old daughter, Sawyer Robbins, to answer some of the hardest questions about love, dating, and relationships.
Sawyer has a list of questions from her friends, her sister, the audience, and her own life, and Mel has no idea what she's going to ask.
After 30 years of marriage, Mel has learned a lot about what makes relationships work, what tears them apart, and the mistakes she wishes she could go back and change.
And today, she's sharing that advice with her own daughter and with you.
Mel opens up about the relationships she regrets, the years she spent avoiding her own problems by dating someone else, the sacrifices she's made in her marriage, and the things she wishes she'd understood when she was Sawyer's age.
In this episode, you'll learn:
-The 3 signs someone is an incredible person, but not the right person for you
-How to know when to stay in a relationship, when to leave, and when it's time to be single
-Why Mel regrets never being single in her 20s and what she wishes she'd done differently
-How to recognize the relationship patterns you keep repeating and what it takes to break them
-The difference between making compromises in a relationship and sacrificing the dreams and values that matter most to you
-What to do when your partner's career, ambition, or dreams seem more important than yours
-How to support someone you love when they're struggling without trying to fix their problems for them
-How to encourage your partner to grow without making them feel like they're not good enough
-The surprising reason why trying to change your partner often creates more problems
-How to handle disagreements when you and your partner want completely different things
-How to rebuild your confidence in dating when you feel like nobody is choosing you
-The most important advice for getting through a breakup when the future you imagined together suddenly disappears
-Why being right in an argument may be the very thing keeping you from feeling connected to your partner
Whether you're single, dating, married, or starting over after heartbreak, this conversation will change how you think about love and what you should be looking for in a relationship.
You deserve a relationship where you don't have to lose yourself to love someone else.
If you are in a relationship right now or you're still looking for it, this conversation will help you understand what you need to look for and how to find it.
