Caribbean Journey
Top 15 Mega Projects Reshaping Trinidad & Tobago... Before The Oil Runs Out
Five billion dollars, signed away in a single afternoon. Two of those agreements are for artificial intelligence data centers big enough to consume nearly a third of Trinidad and Tobago's entire national electricity grid. This is the story of 15 mega projects running at the same time across two small Caribbean islands some finished and already changing lives, others years behind schedule, and some still nothing more than a rendering nobody has broken ground on.
In this documentary, we count down all 15 projects, from a data center agreement signed in July 2026 to a three decade old port proposal that still doesn't exist and reveal the one underlying pressure connecting every single one of them: what happens to a country built on oil and gas when that resource starts running out.
