The BEST Persimmon Trees for South Florida!
Looking for a persimmon tree that will actually fruit in South Florida? Most persimmon varieties need more winter chill than we get this far south, but there are two varieties that have proven themselves in our warm climate: Triumph Persimmon and Hudson/South Florida Persimmon. In this video, I show you both varieties growing and fruiting in South Florida. We visit mature Triumph persimmon trees that are around 30 years old, look at an incredibly productive Hudson/South Florida persimmon tree, and visit Jack and the Beanstalk Nursery, where Katherine shows us grafted Triumph persimmon trees available in South Florida. You'll learn: Why most persimmons can be difficult to fruit in South Florida Why Triumph persimmon performs well in our low-chill climate Hudson Persimmon, also known as South Florida Persimmon How large these trees can get Pruning and keeping persimmon trees manageable How long they can take to begin producing Growing grafted persimmon trees Sun and growing conditions When to pick and ripen astringent persimmons Where you may be able to find these hard-to-find varieties Ruth's South Florida persimmon was planted in 2017 and began fruiting approximately three years later. She says it has produced every year since, with some years becoming so loaded that she needed to support the branches. We also visit Jack and the Beanstalk Nursery, where grafted Triumph persimmon trees are available. Katherine explains how slowly young persimmons initially grow and why she recommends allowing a young grafted tree to become stronger before carrying a full crop. If you're growing fruit trees in South Florida, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, or another warm subtropical climate, these are two persimmon varieties worth knowing about. The Complete Story of the 12 Tribes of Israel | From Jacob to a Divided Kingdom | Full Bible Story
This documentary tells the complete story of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, from Jacob’s sons in Genesis to the division of the kingdom into Israel and Judah. You’ll understand how one family became twelve tribes, why tribal lists change, how the tribes received their land, and why the united kingdom eventually split. The Twelve Tribes of Israel began as the sons of Jacob, but their story became much larger than a family genealogy. Follow Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Joseph, Benjamin, and the other sons as their descendants grow into the covenant nation of Israel. We explain why Joseph is sometimes represented by Ephraim and Manasseh, why Levi had a unique inheritance, and how tribal geography shaped Israel during Joshua and the Judges. The story then moves through Saul of Benjamin, David of Judah, Solomon’s united kingdom, and the rise of Jeroboam of Ephraim. Finally, see how Rehoboam’s decision at Shechem triggered the political division between the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah—and why the identity of the Twelve Tribes did not simply disappear after the split. CHAPTERS 00:00 From Jacob’s Household to the Twelve Sons 03:06 Jacob Becomes Israel 06:22 Joseph Is Betrayed by His Brothers 13:33 Ephraim & Manasseh — Why the Tribal Lists Change 19:07 From Slavery in Egypt to the Exodus 22:23 Sinai — The Tribes Become a Covenant Nation 29:04 The Tribes Enter and Inherit the Land 31:57 The Judges Era — Tribal Unity Begins to Fracture 36:24 Civil War and the Tribe of Benjamin 39:24 Israel Demands a King 46:12 David Unites the Tribes 49:47 Solomon and the Height of the United Kingdom 56:16 Jeroboam and the Prophecy of Division 58:51 Rehoboam at Shechem 1:01:12 The Kingdom Splits 1:10:36 What Happened to the Twelve Tribes? Interpretive explanation is used when discussing the significance of Jacob’s blessings, why tribal lists vary, the relationship between tribal geography and political tension, and the combined theological and political causes of the kingdom’s division. Where Scripture does not provide a complete answer, the narration avoids presenting inference as explicit biblical fact. #TwelveTribesOfIsrael #BibleHistory #IsraelInTheBible #OldTestament #BibleDocumentary

Who Was Melchizedek Really 7 Biblical Clues Everyone Misses
This video explores Melchizedek—the mysterious king-priest of Salem who appears in Genesis 14 and later becomes central to Psalm 110 and Hebrews. You’ll understand the seven biblical clues surrounding his identity, why Abraham honored him, and how his priesthood helps explain the eternal priesthood of Jesus Christ. Who was Melchizedek really? Scripture introduces him suddenly as king of Salem and priest of God Most High, yet records no genealogy, birth, or death. Abraham receives his blessing and gives him a tenth of everything. Centuries later, Psalm 110 declares a coming priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,” and Hebrews uses this ancient figure to explain why Jesus can serve as High Priest even though He comes from Judah rather than Levi. This study examines the major interpretations—including Melchizedek as Shem, a heavenly figure, a pre-incarnate appearance of Christ, or a historical king-priest whose biblical portrait foreshadows Jesus—while carefully distinguishing what Scripture states from later interpretation. CHAPTERS 00:00 Who Was Melchizedek? 00:58 Melchizedek Enters Genesis 14 05:49 King of Righteousness and King of Peace 11:18 Why Abraham Gave Melchizedek a Tenth 23:05 “Without Father or Mother” Explained 26:27 The Mystery of Melchizedek’s Missing Genealogy 31:10 Does Hebrews Say Melchizedek Was Jesus? 39:51 Centuries of Biblical Silence 42:10 Psalm 110 and the Order of Melchizedek 48:54 Why This Priesthood Matters for Jesus 57:18 What Does “Order of Melchizedek” Mean? 01:03:01 Why Jesus Is Priest After Melchizedek, Not Aaron 01:14:12 Melchizedek as a Pattern of Christ 01:22:25 Was Melchizedek the Pre-Incarnate Christ? 01:29:25 Problems With the Christophany Theory 01:41:23 The Seven Clues Come Together 01:46:23 Four Major Theories About Melchizedek 01:57:05 The Seven Biblical Clues Reviewed 02:02:33 What We Know, What Is Possible, and What We Don’t Know 02:09:23 The Meaning of Melchizedek’s Biblical Role 02:17:39 Genesis, Psalm 110, Hebrews, and Jesus 02:20:00 Final Conclusion MAIN BIBLE SOURCES • Genesis 14:17–24 • Psalm 110:1–4 • Hebrews 5–7 • Supporting context: the Abrahamic story, the Levitical priesthood, and the Davidic royal line INTERPRETATION NOTE Scripture does not explicitly identify Melchizedek as Shem, an angelic being, or Jesus before the incarnation. The connection between Salem and Jerusalem, the typological meaning sometimes associated with the bread and wine, and the major theories about Melchizedek’s identity are interpretive discussions. The video distinguishes these views from statements explicitly made in Genesis, Psalm 110, and Hebrews. #Melchizedek #Hebrews7 #Genesis14 #BibleMysteries #JesusHighPriest

You’ll understand how the Gospel spread through persecution, conversion, missionary journeys, cultural conflict, and the work of the Holy Spirit. Beginning with Pentecost in Jerusalem, this full Bible story follows Peter, Stephen, Philip, Barnabas, Paul, Silas, Timothy, Priscilla, Aquila, and many others as the early Church faces opposition, imprisonment, theological disputes, and unexpected breakthroughs. We explore Saul’s transformation, the conversion of Cornelius, the rise of Antioch, the Jerusalem Council, Paul’s missionary journeys through the Roman world, his arrest and trials, the shipwreck on the way to Rome, and the remarkable open ending of Acts. What Happened BEFORE Adam? The Bible’s Hidden Story of Lucifer’s Fall
📖 What happened BEFORE Adam was created? Was there a rebellion in heaven before humanity ever existed? The Bible contains mysterious passages about Lucifer, the angels, a war in heaven, and the condition of the Earth before the creation of Adam. When these passages are examined together, they raise fascinating questions about what may have happened before the familiar story of Genesis. In this Bible documentary, we explore the scriptural passages behind the story of Lucifer’s glory, his pride and rebellion, the angels who followed him, Michael and the war in heaven, Satan’s fall, and the mysterious words of Genesis 1:1–2. Why was Lucifer described as a magnificent cherub? What caused his rebellion against God? Why does Revelation describe a war in heaven? What does “without form and void” mean in Genesis? Were angels already present when God laid the foundations of the Earth? And what happened before Adam finally entered the biblical story? We will journey through Genesis, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Job, Psalms, Daniel, Revelation and other biblical passages as the video examines one of Scripture’s most mysterious themes. The story ultimately leads to the creation of humanity—Adam and Eve made in the image of God—and the beginning of the next chapter in the biblical account. ⚠️ Some connections explored in this video are interpretations of biblical passages rather than events explicitly narrated as one continuous story in Scripture. Watch carefully, examine the passages, and consider the evidence for yourself. 🙏 If you enjoy Bible mysteries, Scripture explained, biblical history, and in-depth Bible documentaries, LIKE this video, SUBSCRIBE to the channel, and turn on notifications 🔔 for more explorations of the Bible. 💬 What do you think happened before Adam? 30 Places in the Bahamas You'll Wish You Found Sooner!
The Bahamas has a lighthouse still wound by hand every night, a beach tinted pink by microscopic shells, and a flamingo population that fell to about 100 birds in the early 1950s and now numbers in the tens of thousands. These places are spread across more than a dozen islands, from a Nassau fish fry built on dredged harbour sand to a blue hole 663 feet deep. Each one comes with a documented story. In this video, we explore: → A Nassau fish fry built on sand dredged from the harbour in 1969. → A pink octagon from 1797 that was built as a jail and now keeps books in its old cells. → A limestone fort from around 1793, shaped like a paddle wheel steamer. → A 1760s waterfront building where enslaved people were auctioned, now a museum named for the leader of an 1830 revolt. → A 1789 estate where a restored cannon around 230 years old fires over Nassau Harbour. → A wine cellar of more than 250,000 bottles, the oldest from 1727. → A medieval French cloister that arrived in unnumbered pieces and was rebuilt by hand, where The Beatles filmed in 1965. → A Grand Bahama beach voted the best in the Caribbean in 2018, then stripped of much of its shoreline by Hurricane Dorian and restored. → A First World War ship made of concrete, broken by a hurricane in 1926 and still sitting off Bimini. → A Loyalist village from the 1780s that looks like New England and shuts down on Sundays. → A beach where one step takes you from the subtropics into the tropics. → Endangered iguanas found naturally on only two tiny cays on Earth. → A marina where nurse sharks gather at the docks and visitors swim among them. → Wild pigs that swim out to meet the boats, and nobody knows for certain how they got there. → A yacht club opened in 1956 on an island with fewer than 100 full-time residents. → A hollow limestone island named after the 1965 Bond film shot inside it. → A hilltop piled with driftwood carved with the names of passing boats. → A park founded in 1958 after an expedition led by the grandson of Leo Tolstoy. → A cave where shipwrecked Puritans held their services in the late 1640s. → A strip of land about 30 feet wide, with the Atlantic on one side and the Bight of Eleuthera on the other. → A beach that gets its colour from the red shells of microscopic sea creatures. → A batik fabric stamped with sponges that became the unofficial national cloth after independence in 1973. → The third-largest barrier reef in the world, beside a trench more than 6,000 feet deep. → A blue hole 663 feet deep that you can walk into right off the beach. → A stone monastery built in 1939 on the highest point in the Bahamas, just 206 feet up. → Evaporation ponds that produce around 1 million tons of salt a year. → The largest breeding colony of West Indian flamingos in the world. → The beach traditionally accepted as Columbus's first landfall in 1492, with 4 separate monuments each claiming the spot. → The last of 11 manned light stations built across the Bahamas, first lit in 1887. And at number one: a red and white lighthouse on Elbow Cay, first lit in 1863, that still burns kerosene. Its lens turns on a float of mercury, and a keeper winds the weights by hand every 2 hours through the night. In 2019, Hurricane Dorian put the light out. THE GIANTS OF THE BIBLE | The Complete Biblical Story — The Feared Figures From Genesis To David
Discover the complete biblical story of the giants of the Bible, the feared and mysterious figures who appear across some of the most dramatic passages of Scripture, from the ancient world of Genesis to the battles fought during the time of David. The story begins in Genesis, where the Nephilim are mentioned in the days before the flood. Their brief appearance has generated centuries of questions about who they were, where they came from, and why the biblical text connects them with a world increasingly marked by violence and corruption. But the story of biblical giants does not end there. Generations later, when the Israelites approached the land of Canaan, the spies sent to explore the territory returned with a terrifying report. They described powerful inhabitants, fortified cities, and men of extraordinary size associated with the descendants of Anak. The fear caused by this report had enormous consequences. Instead of trusting that they could enter the land, much of Israel became terrified by what they had seen. The giants became symbols of an enemy that appeared impossible to defeat, and the people’s response helped shape one of the most important turning points in Israel’s wilderness journey. As the biblical story continues, several groups associated with unusual size and strength appear in different regions. The Anakim, Rephaim, Emim, and other peoples became connected with territories east and west of the Jordan, creating a larger picture of ancient populations remembered for their intimidating physical presence. One of the most remarkable figures in these accounts is Og, king of Bashan. The Bible preserves an unusual detail about the enormous size of his bed or resting structure, emphasizing the extraordinary reputation connected with him and the Rephaim. Later, during the conquest of Canaan, Joshua faced the Anakim and removed them from many of their strongholds. Yet some remained in places such as Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod. That detail would become important generations later. From Gath emerged one of the most famous warriors in the entire Bible: Goliath. When the Philistine champion confronted Israel, his size, armor, weapons, and reputation terrified the army of King Saul. For days, no Israelite soldier was willing to face him. Then David arrived. Still a young man and not yet king, David accepted the challenge and confronted Goliath with a sling and stones. The battle became one of Scripture’s most famous victories, but it was not the final appearance of giant warriors in the biblical narrative. During David’s later years, additional battles were fought against warriors connected with the giants of Gath. These men possessed unusual physical strength and terrifying reputations, and David’s warriors eventually defeated them. In this complete biblical exploration, we follow the story of the giants from Genesis through the wilderness period, the conquest of Canaan, the time of the judges and kings, and the battles surrounding David. We also examine the different names connected with these figures and the importance of distinguishing what the biblical text clearly states from later traditions, theories, and interpretations. Who were the Nephilim? Were the Anakim connected to them? Who were the Rephaim? Why were the Israelites so afraid of these people? How large was Goliath according to the biblical manuscripts? And why do giant warriors continue appearing at key moments in Israel’s history? The subject of biblical giants has often been surrounded by speculation, but the biblical narrative itself provides a fascinating historical and theological framework. These figures repeatedly appear as powerful enemies who inspire fear, test faith, and stand in the path of Israel’s progress. Their story also reveals an important recurring pattern in Scripture: enemies who appear unbeatable from a human perspective are not necessarily beyond defeat. From the mysterious Nephilim before the flood to the intimidating Anakim of Canaan, from Og of Bashan to Goliath of Gath and the later giant warriors defeated by David’s men, these accounts form one of the most fascinating threads running through the Old Testament. This video carefully follows the biblical record to explore who these giants were, where they appeared, how the different groups were described, and why their presence became so important in the larger story of Israel.

I Found Jamaica's Forgotten Connection to Space
Hidden along the coast of St. Thomas, Jamaica sits the abandoned remains of the JAMINTEL Earth Station — the satellite facility that once connected the entire island to the rest of the world. Built in 1971, this was Jamaica's direct line into the global satellite communications network, carrying international phone calls, telegraphs, and even live television broadcasts decades before the internet existed. For nearly 20 years, this quiet stretch of coastline in Pamphret, St. Thomas was one of the most important pieces of infrastructure in the country — until undersea fibre-optic cables made it obsolete almost overnight, and it was left behind without ceremony or headline. In this video, we explore: ✅ What a satellite earth station actually is and how it worked ✅ Why Jamaica needed one in the 1970s, just like Barbados, Bermuda, and dozens of countries worldwide ✅ How live international television first reached Jamaican homes through JBC TV ✅ Why the station went silent — and what replaced it ✅ What remains of this forgotten piece of Jamaican history today This is a story about technology, history, and how quickly the things that once connected us to the world can disappear from memory — even while the ground beneath them is still there. 🇯🇲 Subscribe to One Love Jamaica for more untold Jamaican history, hidden landmarks, and stories that history left behind: "Erased. Augustine of Hippo: How One Bishop Shaped Western Christianity | Christian History for Sleep
In this relaxing Christian history documentary for sleep, we journey through the life of Augustine of Hippo, the small-town North African bishop whose restless mind shaped nearly every major argument in Western Christianity. Born in 354 in Thagaste to Patricius and Monica, Augustine rose from ambitious student of rhetoric in Carthage through nine years with the Manichaeans to professor at Milan, where the preaching of Ambrose, the prayers of his mother, and a famous moment in a garden with Paul's Letter to the Romans led to his baptism in 387. Made bishop of Hippo against his will, he spent thirty-five years preaching, judging lawsuits, ransoming captives, and writing roughly five million words — sermons, letters, and books that form the largest surviving body of work from the ancient world. We'll explore every major chapter of his story, from the stolen pears and the voice saying take, read to the *Confessions* with its journey through memory and time, the long struggle with the Donatists over purity and unity in the church, the *City of God* written after the sack of Rome in 410 with its vision of two cities, the fierce debate with Pelagius over grace and free will, and the final Vandal siege of Hippo where he died in 430 reading the penitential psalms. From the hills of Numidia to Carthage, Milan, and Hippo, we'll follow the complete tale of restlessness, conversion, controversy, and influence that made him a doctor of the church claimed by Catholics and Protestants, respected by the Orthodox East, and still debated by historians — a legacy built not by army or throne, but by pressure, patience, and daily work. Told in a calm and soothing style, this video invites you to relax, unwind, and drift off to sleep while experiencing the timeless life of Augustine and the world of late Roman Christianity. Please note that while the narrative is thoroughly based on historical research, its primary purpose is storytelling for entertainment and relaxation.
