Surviving Diepsloot: South Africa’s No-Go Zone | Free Documentary World’s Most Dangerous Slum - Cité Soleil: https://youtu.be/3-6PIRF45ZU In Johannesburg, violence is omnipresent. With twenty murders a day, South Africa's largest city lives to the rhythm of feuds between rival gangs that rule the slums and poverty. Take Diepsloot, in the north of the city, where there are sixteen murders per month, two toilets and one water tap for 200,000 inhabitants. A gang who call themselves the Die Hard Boys, loots to buy drugs. Since the police no longer patrol these neighbourhoods, citizen militias are taking justice into their own hands, exacerbating the situation in a country where firearms are available for a few hundred dollars. This documentary was first published 2014. While there are initiatives, the overall situation has not improved in 2026. #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #johannesburg ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-quality documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. How Babyface Turned 30 Years of Hits Into a Quiet $100M Empire — Catalog, Ranch & Legacy
Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds — legendary songwriter, producer, and co founder of LaFace Records — built an R&B empire (Whitney Houston, Boyz II Men, Toni Braxton, Usher) and now lives quietly from a Los Angeles ranch that reflects ownership, legacy, and intentional peace. This video goes inside Babyface’s LA properties, his catalog ownership model, family life, and the wealth architecture that turned hits into lasting income. This feature traces Kenneth Brian Edmonds’ life from Indianapolis beginnings to global songwriting and production dominance, through LaFace Records and an ownership first financial model that generated recurring royalties, publishing income, and equity. We tour his Sullivan Canyon ranch and a Bel Air era estate, highlight the design choices that prioritize family and privacy, and explain the real engine behind his wealth — songwriting, publishing, sync licensing, and strategic ownership. In this episode you’ll see: A full walkthrough of Babyface’s Los Angeles ranch: indoor/outdoor flow, gardens, private wings and amenities. The Bel Air Mediterranean estate and the era it represents in his life. How his catalog, publishing and LaFace Records equity generate recurring income (mechanical & performance royalties, sync licensing). Jamaica’s Fern Gully Bird Man: The Last of a Dying Tradition
#jamaica #FernGullyJamaica #JamaicanHistory #RuralJamaica #JamaicanCulture Fern Gully, Jamaica is one of the island’s most iconic natural landmarks — a lush green corridor carved by disaster, reclaimed by nature, and sustained by generations of rural Jamaicans. In this video, we take you on a tour through the hidden history of Fern Gully, a former riverbed transformed after the 1907 earthquake into a living tunnel of over 300 species of ferns, rare plants, and tropical life. But beyond the beauty, Fern Gully is also a place of livelihood, tradition, and survival. For more than 20 years, Michael Wilmot has stood along this historic road as the famous Jack in the Bush — wearing a traditional costume made of leaves to surprise tourists and attract attention to local craft vendors. Once a thriving roadside attraction, this tradition is now fading as highways divert traffic and tour buses pass without stopping. Michael speaks about the dying tradition of Jack in the Bush, the decline of craft vending in Fern Gully, and how modern development has affected rural entrepreneurs. Yet despite the challenges, he continues to show up daily — guided by faith, hope, and love for his craft. This story is not just about one man or one road. It is about balance — between progress and preservation, highways and heritage, speed and community. As Jamaica continues to modernize, Fern Gully reminds us that our history, culture, and people matter just as much as infrastructure. The future of places like this depends on how we choose to value rural Jamaica, support small entrepreneurs, and remain our brother’s keeper. Whether you are a Jamaican at home or abroad, a visitor, or someone interested in Caribbean history, culture, and sustainable tourism — this is a story worth watching.
