WE BROUGHT GROCERIES TO THIS 93-YEAR-OLD JAMAICAN WOMAN 😭❤️ | WE REMEMBER HER
❤️🇯🇲 WE REMEMBER MS. PHILLIPS | A VISIT THAT TOUCHED MY HEART 😭❤️
Meet Ms. Phillips, a beautiful 93-year-old woman who lives in the community of Warminster, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. 🇯🇲❤️
Our journey with Ms. Phillips began when we started looking out for her by bringing her groceries whenever we had them available through my community outreach program, Shan Zen Zen Jamaican Vibes.
One of the most memorable moments in our journey with Ms. Phillips was when we took her to get her dentures. She shared how, for years, she had been without teeth and struggled to enjoy some of the foods she loved, including playing. Hearing her story touched our hearts, and many people who came to know her through the program fell in love with her. Since then, whenever they visit Jamaica, they have continued to help by ensuring she receives groceries and other support.
Today, we returned to visit our dear Ms. Phillips with another grocery package, this time courtesy of Miss Greyshall, who is joining us in showing love all the way from Canada. 🇨🇦❤️🇯🇲 We are truly grateful for people who are willing to extend a helping hand and remind others that they are not forgotten.
But what happened during this visit touched me in a way I will never forget. 🥹❤️
Although Ms. Phillips genuinely needed the groceries, she told us that she was even happier to see us than she was to receive them. Just imagine that! At 93 years old, after all she has experienced, the sight of familiar faces and the feeling of being remembered brought her so much joy.
That moment reminded me that while food helps to fill an empty cupboard, love, companionship, and knowing that someone cares can fill a place in the heart that money cannot reach.
Sometimes, we go out thinking we are the ones bringing blessings to others, only to discover that they give us something far more precious in return.
Ms. Phillips, we want you to know that WE REMEMBER YOU. ❤️ You are loved, you are valued, and you have not been forgotten.
To Miss Grace Hall in Canada, thank you for making this visit possible and for being a part of Ms. Phillips' story. May your kindness continue to inspire others to give, share, and care for those who need us.
Let us not forget our elderly. Let us check on them, spend time with them, listen to their stories, and remind them that they still matter.
If Ms. Phillips' story touches your heart, please LIKE, SHARE, and SUBSCRIBE. Leave her some love in the comments. ❤️🇯🇲
