BEST SEAFOOD IN JAMAICA? INSIDE GREGO'S KITCHEN
Today we’re uncovering the secret 10-ingredient sauce that makes this jerk fish legendary—but the final ingredient is one you’ll never find in a grocery store. Journey with me to Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth, where we sit down with Greg, the visionary behind Grego’s Bar and Grill. This isn't just a story about incredible Jamaican street food; it’s a masterclass in a "career pivot" where banking logistics meet the authentic flavors of the island. We explore how Greg and his wife Lisa leveraged their finance backgrounds to build a thriving, family-owned business that supports the local farming community while serving up some of the most innovative dishes in the Caribbean. From the sizzle of the pimento wood to the unique "jerk pumpkin" that has everyone talking, we dive deep into what it means to be "unapologetically St. Elizabeth." Whether you're a foodie looking for the ultimate jerk experience or an aspiring entrepreneur, Greg’s journey from the boardroom to the beach grill offers a rare, culturally rich look at Jamaican excellence and the grit required to make a restaurant truly stand out. 30 Places In Jamaica You'll Wish You Found Sooner!
Jamaica has a beach a whole community went to court to keep, a hilltop where two of the last century's most famous writers are buried within sight of each other, and a lagoon that glows in the dark when you touch the water. Most visitors never leave the strip of coast between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. Almost none of this is on the postcard. In this video, we count down all thirty, ranked from quietly overlooked to genuinely unforgettable: → A rainforest waterfall in the only part of Jamaica on the UNESCO World Heritage list, added in 2015 → A waterfall you reach by rowboat through a chamber inside a cliff, on the grounds of an old indigo plantation → A far-western river of 21 cascades you climb through the water itself → A garden waterfall five minutes from Ocho Rios with a lookout 420 feet above the coast → A chain of turquoise mountain pools the local guides kept quiet for years → A cove where a cold river crosses the sand into the warm Caribbean in a few steps → The beach where jerk cooking was first sold to the public, smoked over pimento wood → An uninhabited white-sand cay 15 minutes by boat off old Port Royal → A deep pool that shifts from turquoise to sapphire, wrongly rumored to be a famous film set → A driftwood bar on stilts three-quarters of a mile out to sea, destroyed and rebuilt three times → The mountain village where Bob Marley was born and is buried, still run by his family → The hilltop home and grave of playwright Noel Coward, built on a spot once used as a pirate lookout → The house where Ian Fleming wrote every James Bond novel, starting in 1952 → The Montego Bay square named for the man who led the 1831 rebellion and was hanged there in 1832 → The great house behind the island's most famous ghost story, one a novelist invented in 1929 → The bamboo-raft river a Hollywood actor turned into a pastime in the 1940s → The oldest rum distillery on the island, making rum since 1749, home of the first female master blender → The Kingston mansion built in 1881 by the first Black millionaire in Jamaica → A cave that hid the Taino, the Spanish, the enslaved, and wartime smugglers across 500 years → A former plantation turned flower garden with a trail to the exact spring where a river begins → A 2.5-mile tunnel of bamboo planted in the 1700s to shade the road → A three-mile stretch of highway roofed over by ferns in an old riverbed → Mineral hot springs a runaway found in the 1600s, beside a botanical garden planted in 1779 → A cliff that drops about 1,700 feet straight to the sea, with a lighthouse at the top → Seven-tiered spring-fed falls on a working cattle estate you reach by tractor → The 7,402-foot peak you climb at 2 a.m. to watch the sun rise over Cuba → A 250-year-old Georgian town that had piped water in its streets before some far larger cities And at number one: the Martha Brae, a calm river in Trelawny you cross the old way, on a bamboo raft poled by a guide, on a run of about three miles through quiet forest. The river carries a story older than the rafting. A Taino woman named Martha Brae was said to know where the Spanish had hidden their gold, and when they forced her to lead them to a cave by the river, the tale says she used her knowledge of the water to change the river's course and drown them inside it, sealing the gold away for good. The cave and the gold have never been found. Most visitors spend a week on the coast and never once pole up this river into the interior. TALLONN ZEPARTI | LIFE OF ZEPARTI
97 and loved by MILLIONS:the pain and secret behind the chin family story
Before the millions of views, before the viral recipes, there was Jamaica… Tallonn Zeparti sits down with internet-favourite Grandma Aileen Chin of Chin Family from Jamaica for a story filled with food, family, laughter, heartbreak, and memories that span generations. From baking and cooking in Jamaica to gathering around the table and sharing good food, food has always been more than something to eat for the Chin family...it became a way of bringing people together, preserving memories, and keeping their Jamaican roots alive. At 97 years old, Aileen opens up about her life in Jamaica, the struggles her family faced, and the heartbreaking decision to migrate to the United States. With her daughter Maxine and grandson Lucas helping carry the family story forward, Tallonn uncovers a journey where family, food, business, and resilience became connected in ways that few people ever get to see. There is laughter. There is delicious food. There is nostalgia. But behind the smiles are sacrifices and difficult moments that shaped the family forever. How did a Jamaican family turn generations of food, memories, and perseverance into a story that would eventually reach millions of people? Tallonn goes inside the Chin family journey to find out. This isn’t just a story about food. It’s about the people around the table, the memories created there, the businesses built from the ground up, and a family that refused to give up. Watch Life of Zeparti and discover the story behind the family millions have come to love. Elite Jamaica
This is where your Tap water comes from.
Deep in the mountains of Jamaica lies something most people in Kingston probably never think about — a network of dams, pipelines, and waterways that helps supply the capital city with water. On this journey through the forgotten community of Windsor Forest, I went looking for these hidden pieces of Jamaica’s water infrastructure. But along the way, I discovered much more than I expected — forgotten colonial-era ruins, old bridges, plantation history, and a road that eventually turned an ordinary adventure into a serious challenge. How does water from these mountains make its way toward Kingston? And what else has been hidden in this remote part of St. Thomas? Join me as we explore Windsor Forest and uncover the forgotten history, infrastructure, and stories buried deep in the Jamaican mountains. The capital depends on water. But few people ever see where that journey begins. #Jamaica #Kingston #JamaicaHistory #HiddenJamaica #WindsorForest #StThomasJamaica #JamaicaExploration #JamaicaAdventure #KingstonWater #JamaicaDams #JamaicaTravel #JamaicanHistory Most people in Kingston turn on the tap without ever thinking about where that water comes from. 💧🇯🇲 Deep in these mountains is a network of dams, rivers and pipelines connected to the water supply that serves the capital. Would you have ever guessed that something this important was hidden away in a place like Windsor Forest? Tell me in the comments — did you know about this part of Jamaica before watching this video?

THE TINY NATION OF THE BALKANS - A Small Land with Monumental Landscapes | Travel Video
#travelvideo #worldexplorer #exploretravel Between the Balkan mountains torn open by deep geological fractures, a massive canyon emerges like a boundary between two worlds. Towering cliffs drop straight into deep blue waters, while along the Adriatic coast, medieval towns still cling to quiet bays where the surface of the sea seems untouched by time. Montenegro is one of the rare places in Europe where such a short distance contains such extreme geographic transformation. Within just a few hours of travel, the landscape shifts from deep coastal waters to towering mountain ranges, from ancient stone fortresses overlooking the sea to cold high plateaus still marked by the traces of ancient glaciers. These layers of scenery were shaped over millions of years of geological forces, while also preserving the traces of ancient trade routes that once connected the Mediterranean.
