The Complete Story of David | From Shepherd to King and the Sins That Followed | Full Bible Story
Who was King David, and how did an overlooked shepherd become Israel’s most famous king—and then face the consequences of his greatest failures?
In this full Bible story, you’ll understand David’s complete journey from Bethlehem and Goliath to Saul’s persecution, the throne of Israel, Jerusalem, Bathsheba, Absalom’s rebellion, and the rise of Solomon.
King David’s story is one of the Bible’s greatest accounts of faith, courage, power, sin, repentance, and consequence. Anointed while still a young shepherd, David rose to national fame after defeating Goliath, only to become a fugitive when King Saul turned against him.
This documentary follows David through his friendship with Jonathan, years of exile, Saul’s death, and his rise from king of Judah to king over all Israel. But becoming king was not the end of David’s struggle. His sin involving Bathsheba and Uriah brought devastating consequences into his household, including the tragedy of Tamar and Amnon and Absalom’s rebellion.
Follow David’s remarkable life from shepherd to warrior, fugitive, king, sinner, and repentant ruler—and discover why his legacy continued long after his death.

📝 INTERPRETATION NOTE
This documentary uses Scripture as its primary foundation. Some descriptions of David’s emotions, motives, private thoughts, political calculations, battlefield circumstances, and transitions between biblical events are narrative interpretations added for storytelling clarity. Where Scripture does not explicitly state a character’s thoughts or motivations, the documentary does not present those details as direct biblical claims. Historical context and narrative reconstruction should therefore be distinguished from events explicitly recorded in Scripture.
