Why Merz Comments Could Further Harm EU-US Relations
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the US is being “humiliated” by Iranian leaders as President Donald Trump struggles to negotiate an end to the war. Speaking to a group of students yesterday, Merz said an “entire nation is being humiliated by the Iranian leadership, particularly by these so-called Revolutionary Guards." The comments risk driving a wedge in transatlantic relations. Bloomberg's Balazs Penz reports. -------- More on Bloomberg Television and Markets Like this video? What is Spanish Bridge? Spanish Bridge is an old stone bridge located over the White River, near the border of St. Ann and St. Mary parishes, close to Ocho Rios. It’s not a bridge used for cars or heavy traffic—more like a historical and recreational spot deep in nature. The bridge itself dates back to the Spanish colonial period, hence the name. ⸻ 🌊 Why It’s Popular • Crystal-Clear River: The White River is cool, clean, and flows gently in that area—perfect for a refreshing swim. • Cliff Jumping: There are natural platforms around the bridge for jumping into the river, a major attraction for thrill-seekers. • Rope Swings: Locals often set up rope swings from trees near the water, giving it a fun, adventure-park vibe. • Lush Surroundings: The area is full of trees, vines, and limestone rocks—very peaceful and “off the beaten path.” ⸻ 📜 History & Culture • The bridge is believed to have been built in the 1600s or 1700s, possibly by the Spanish or early British colonizers. • It served as a small river crossing, not a major highway, and now remains as a historic remnant of Jamaica’s colonial past. • Locals have used the spot for decades as a “country chill spot,” often for Sunday cookouts and relaxing. ⸻ 🧭 How to Get There • Located about 20–30 minutes outside of Ocho Rios. • Accessible via White River Valley, but the road can be rough and may require a local guide or a high-clearance vehicle. • GPS might not be 100% accurate; best to ask locals or use a local tour guide.

World's Deadliest Roads | Sierra Nevada: Interstate 80 | Free Documentary World's Deadliest Roads - Argentina's La Ruta Del Diablo: https://youtu.be/LA6hn-qnJw0 In the west of the United States, the Sierra Nevada Mountains stretch from New Mexico to Canada. One road in particular crosses them: Interstate 80, which is one of the most dangerous in the country. The extreme weather conditions make the mountain ranges particularly difficult to navigate. In winter, blizzards and snowstorms quickly render the roads impassable. To assist with this, roadside professionals like Joey work around the clock. Another group of dedicated individuals in the region is the firefighters from Station 97. Among them are Jameson and Nathan. Situated right in the heart of the mountain range and covering an area of 1,600 km, they must be ready to respond to situations that are as perilous as they are varied. However, their missions would be impossible without the support of the California Department of Transportation. At the head of the local branch is Pete Labrance, who is responsible for closing the roads in the event of heavy snowfall. Despite the extreme conditions, there are those who will brave any danger to get as close as possible to hazardous areas. These are the storm chasers. The Rockies are one of their favorite hunting grounds. Like Tod and his son Michael, long-time enthusiasts, many of them get behind the wheel as soon as heavy snowfalls are announced in the region. Their aim is to capture the shot that will be seen around the world. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #argentinia ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing you high-class documentaries on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios.
