Uzbekistan by Train: Oases, Deserts and Soviet Ghost Towns | Free Documentary Vietnam by Train - Aboard the Reunification Express: https://youtu.be/Cn3b8_RkMGQ Uzbekistan, a land of vast deserts and ancient oases, was a key hub of the Silk Road for centuries, where camels once ruled the trade routes. After Russian annexation, the Silk Road Express railway transformed the region, connecting the lush green valleys of the east with the arid deserts of the west. In Jangiabad, a fading Soviet-era mining town, the Olympic boxing team now trains in the performance-enhancing high-altitude air. Samarkand, with its iconic Registan Square, has become a tourist hotspot, even featuring a tourist police force led by twin officers Fatima and Zukhra. Explorers venture deep into the Hissar Mountains, seeking the legendary Timur Cave, said to have hidden Timur Lenk’s army. Meanwhile, Bukhara’s ancient Jewish community, one of the oldest in the world, struggles to survive after centuries of resilience amid persecution. Uzbekistan’s landscapes and stories reflect a captivating blend of history, legend, and transformation. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI Free Documentary Merch: https://bit.ly/3zpk3mj ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #uzbekistan ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. How do the inhabitants of the Sahara feel about this interference? In Sahara, a new three episode series, Bram Vermeulen crosses the desert from west to east, from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea. Always fighting, but with a smile. Strong, but not tough as nails. The history of this continent is one of ups and downs. Sometimes there’s a glimmer of hope, then everything seems to fall apart again. I’m wondering how South Americans are doing now. Are they crawling, walking or about to fall down again?” From Chile to Colombia, we will follow the spine of the Andes and along the way uncover small stories about big issues that say something about contemporary Latin America. According to Stef Biemans, the Andes Mountains are a good place to ask that question. 'The backbone of South America is 7000 kilometres long (4300 miles) and passes through 7 countries. You’ll find Chilean capitalism in the smog of Santiago, and will travel 30 years back in time through the clouds of remote Bolivian mountain villages. They make traveling a real adventure. We travel in trucks, buses, and off-road vehicles from the Indian Ocean via the Serengeti to Lake Victoria, accompany herds of wildebeest, observe lions and rhinos, and show the lives of the people who live on and along the roads. 01:33:31 Philippines The Halsema Highway, situated on the island of Luzon, leads right through the Philippine jungle with its frequent fog and heavy rainfall. Every trip on this road is an adventure, and it's dangerous. We accompany a bus driver and a taxi driver on their trip. 02:16:14 Canada Far out in the "Wild West" of Canada lies Bella Coola. A Day in the Kenyan Savanna: A Maasai Child's Dangerous Journey to School | Free Documentary
The Dorn Savanna is home to the Maasai people, who have preserved their traditions for centuries. In the village of Kasiole, life revolves around daily routines and challenges, especially for schoolchildren. Moseka, an 8-year-old boy, begins his day at 4 a.m. as the family’s night watchman, guarding their cattle against potential predators. When dawn breaks, his journey to school begins—a 10-kilometer trek through the savanna, fraught with dangers like wild animals and the unforgiving heat. Moseka’s family cannot afford essentials like a water bottle, making the journey even more arduous. Along the way, he passes through stunning landscapes and other Maasai villages, some abandoned and others newly built. Despite education being mandatory in Kenya, many children stay home to help with livestock, and few join Moseka on his route. The destination is Ntuka Primary School, the only school within 20 kilometers. Teachers understand the children’s challenges, including their frequent lateness, as they navigate the wild savanna—an open, untamed environment where survival often outweighs education. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #kenya ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. Behind Bars: Geraldo Beltrão Prison, Brazil | World’s Toughest Prisons | | Prison Documentary 2025 World's Most Luxurious Prison - Halden Prison: https://youtu.be/BgCC8nGheGg João Pessoa, located at the easternmost point of the Americas, is the capital of Paraíba, one of Brazil's poorest regions. While its beaches attract numerous tourists, crime rates escalate inland, with over 26 murders per 100,000 residents annually. The province's strategic location makes it a conduit for drug smuggling, contributing to a high incarceration rate. One notable correctional facility is the Penitenciária de Segurança Máxima Criminalista Geraldo Beltrão, a maximum-security prison in João Pessoa's Mangabeira neighborhood. Built in the 1940s, it houses over 200 high-security inmates, including gang members and murderers. Among them is Lindon, a gang leader who ascended the ranks within the prison but now faces threats from rivals. Conversely, individuals like Chef Junior have renounced gang affiliations by accepting prison jobs, such as kitchen duties, rendering them targets among inmates. In recent years, Paraíba has emphasized re-socialization efforts. Programs allow prisoners to complete their education, participate in "remission through reading" to shorten sentences, and engage in prison employment. These initiatives aim to build confidence and provide a path to rehabilitation, offering inmates a chance at a new life beyond the bars. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #BehindBars ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. World's Most Luxurious Prison | Halden Prison: Vacation For Murderers? | Free Documentary World’s Most Feared Prison - El Salvador's Mega Gang Fortress: https://youtu.be/4rrVznR2oV4 Norway boasts one of the lowest rates of recidivism in the world so Ann Widdecombe, former UK Justice Minister, is intrigued to find out what they’re doing right and has come to Halden Prison to find out. Built ten years ago as a ground-breaking experiment, Halden Prison was designed to not look or feel like a prison. With prisoners’ human rights at the core of its philosophy, Halden Prison is the first in the world to host workshops, social workers, a college, a library, a music studio and a restaurant all under one roof. But while its humane approach has been revered by some, Halden Prison has been accused by others of being too luxurious, especially because it’s a maximum security prison - home to murderers, rapists and paedophiles. With her knowledge of the UK prison system, Ann spends an eye-opening three days inside Halden as she meets staff, hears inmate’s stories and judges for herself whether the level of luxury in the prison is justified. She even meets a former inmate who was once known as the most dangerous man in Norway. From rapping in a state-of-the-art music studio to scooting down an underground security tunnel to attending a spiritual retreat, she’s on a quest to discover what the UK could learn from this radical Norwegian system. Baffled by some aspects of the prison and impressed by others, Ann wonders if Halden is the prison of the future or is it just too expensive? ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #prison ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. The Guardians of the Red Taiga | Free Documentary Surviving the Mountain that Eats Men - The Hell Miners of Potosí: https://youtu.be/kWoAg-8Q3Ic The Taiga, also known as the boreal forest, represents about 17% of the Earth's surface and has the highest density of rivers and natural springs in the world. In Mongolia, its primary forests and pure waters have kept an entire population nomadic on its lands for thousands of years. But for more than 30 years, the rich natural resources of these Mongolian lands have fallen prey to illegal hunters and miners, often from the local population. In just a few years, the country has witnessed an alarming collapse of its biodiversity. Faced with this worrying situation, the Mongolian Ministry of Environment created the "Red Taiga" Park in 2012, at the head of which it appointed ranger Jal Tumursukh. The mission of this former local hunter is now to enforce the law of environmental protection, whose objective is to put an end to illegal mining, but also to traditional practices of hunting and nomadism. A very delicate mission for a just cause to which the chief ranger is trying to rally more and more forest guards from the disgruntled local communities. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI Free Documentary Merch: https://bit.ly/3zpk3mj ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #mongolia ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. Red Zones - World’s Toughest Places | Myanmar Civil War | Free Documentary from 2025 World’s Most Feared Prison in El Salvador - Mega Gang Fortress: https://youtu.be/4rrVznR2oV4 In the remote rugged hills of Myanmar, one of South East Asia’s least-known countries, a decades-old civil war is raging between the country’s Military regime and a myriad of armed ethnic insurgencies. In the landlocked state of Karenni, the smallest of Myanmar’s 7 ethnic borderland regions, ordinary civilians are seeking refuge at secret jungle and mountain training camps. Despite not having military backgrounds, young people from all walks of life have decided to flee the cities and take up arms to train to become insurgent fighters. Leaving their old civilian lives behind and training in various irregular warfare methods, these young men and women apply their skills to ready themselves for frontline action. In an attempt to defeat the Myanmar Military, these newly trained fighters must find innovative ways to take on a much bigger and better-equipped army, which has clung to power for decades through fear and violence in Myanmar’s ethnic regions. Due to the region's remoteness and isolation from years of Military blockades, the insurgents of Karenni must utilize the area's extensive smuggling networks to keep up their war efforts. Everything from medicines to run their makeshift hospitals to weapons must be taken into their control zones by small nimble groups who must constantly avoid checkpoints and evade capture by traveling off-road. This new generation of young, tech-savvy fighters is making impressive gains across Myanmar’s Karenni state. The Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) one of several armed groups operating in the Karenni state has become a beacon of success on and off the battlefields leading by example with its strict organization and determined fighters who fight with strong ideals for justice and freedom. But relying on makeshift weaponry and struggling against the tough conditions of forests and mountains, for how long this fresh army of Guerillas can survive is in question. This film will take viewers on a journey into Myanmar’s insurgent world, and show how this ancient form of warfare continues to persist in the modern world. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #myanmar ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free with the latest camera equipment used by well-known filmmakers working for famous production studios. World’s Most Feared Prison | El Salvador: Mega Gang Fortress | Free Documentary World’s Toughest Prisons - Renovación 1, Guatemala: https://youtu.be/PvhNyVbY9cU With more than 3,000 homicides per year for a population of six million, El Salvador has long held the record of being the most dangerous country in the world. This insecurity was caused by gang warfare between MS13 and Barrio 18. To combat this violence, El Salvador’s young president, Nayib Bukele, declared a ruthless war on gangs. Over 75,000 people accused of being members of MS 13 and Barrio 18 have been arrested and thrown into prison. An extraordinary penitentiary was built especially for them: the CECOT (Terrorism Containment Center). It’s the biggest prison in the world. We gained exclusive access. Fifteen thousand prisoners are locked up here, most of whom will never leave alive. The prison is the symbol of a relentless crackdown on gangs by the 42-year-old president. The policy of repression is bearing fruit. Neighborhoods that were once run by killers are now calm. Buoyed by the support of the population, who are delighted to be living in peace at last, the President continues his merciless manhunt for gang members. The last ones still at large are fleeing abroad. We spoke to one former gang member, now on the run. But, as documented by Amnesty International, the crackdown has also resulted in systemic human rights abuses. The police are under pressure to meet arrest quotas, innocent people have been arrested and their families struggle to get them released. These “blunders” do not thwart President Bukele’s security policy. To show that his country is now totally secure, last November he organized the Miss Universe election and has embraced his title of ’the world’s coolest dictator’.
