Today I traveled to Slipe in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, on a mission that truly touched my heart. I delivered 100 baby chicks, chicken feed, and feeding pans to a hardworking mother who lost all of her chickens during the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw. Seeing the dead chickens washed away and lying in the water was both shocking and deeply heartbreaking. In that moment, it reminded me how fragile livelihoods can be—especially for farmers who depend on poultry farming to survive. This visit was not just about a donation—it was about restoring livelihoods for farmers across St. Elizabeth. Through these baby chicks, we are helping this mother begin again, rebuild what the storm took away, and regain her ability to provide for her family. 🙏🏽 This donation was made possible by the Grindel Adventist Church in Hamburg, Germany.
