Investors are geared up for Wednesday's Federal Reserve decision amid bets officials signal their wait-and-see stance until there’s more clarity on the impacts of President Donald Trump’s trade policies. Short-term Treasury yields rose as traders trimmed wagers on rate cuts, seeing around three quarter-point reductions in 2025 starting in July. With the central bank expected to keep its benchmark rate steady at 4.25%-4.50% on Wednesday, traders will be scrutinizing comments by Fed Chair Jerome Powell for insight into officials’ interpretation of recent data and whether Trump’s economic policies are prompting any change in view on when to ease policy. “The tariff situation is extremely fluid and unpredictable, therefore it would be irresponsible for the Fed to attempt to be responsive to tariffs when the situation can change drastically and their actions could lack the intended impacts or even worse compound a detrimental effect,” said Chris Brigati, chief investment officer at SWBC. Frances Donald, chief economist at RBC, explains why she believes the Fed will be forced to wait to ease monetary policy based on tariffs' delayed impact on inflation rates and the slow speed at which the US labor market appears to be softening. Lonely electrician Mark wants to reconnect with his lost family unit, but he knows to achieve this, it means reopening doors to his past that he has tried hard to get away from.

The US aviation regulator plans to upgrade technology infrastructure and staffing levels for air-traffic controllers that oversee flights bound for Newark Liberty International Airport after a critical outage led to more than week of severe flight disruptions.  Three new high-bandwidth data connections will be added to provide more reliability and redundancy between control systems in New York and Philadelphia that handle air traffic at Newark Airport, the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement on Wednesday.  The agency and the Transportation Department also plan to replace copper wire telecommunications infrastructure with fiber optic lines and deploy a backup system at the Philadelphia site as they make the switch. Flights have been delayed or outright canceled at Newark for several days since last week, when the Philadelphia facility guiding planes in and out of the airport lost radar and radio communications for about 90 seconds. The FAA has been slowing arrivals and departures at the airport due to staffing shortages in Philadelphia, as well as runway construction at Newark. Im hochmodernen Shining-Sea-Aquarium im Süden Kaliforniens werden versehentlich die sterblichen Überreste eines kranken mit einem neuartigen Virus infizierten Delphins an die anderen Meeresbewohner verfüttert. Darunter auch Mako-Haie und ein Riesenkraken! Das Virus hatte in anderen Zooanlagen bereits zu äußerst aggressiven Verhaltensweisen und Mutationen bei den Tieren geführt, in deren Folge viele Menschen verletzt und getötet wurden. Die infizierten Meeresbewohner, Kraken, Haie, Seelöwen, Riesenkrabben, ein Krokodil, ein Walross mit imposanten Stoßzähnen und selbst Seesterne, beginnen nun mit der Jagd nach allen Menschen und Peinigern, die sich noch in dem riesigen Gebäudekomplex mit Unterwassertunneln und Aquarium-Tanks aufhalten. Die Sicherheitsbeauftragte Eddie „Clu“ Cluwirth (Vivica A. Fox) hat nun alle Hände voll zu tun, zusammen mit der Instituts-Wissenschaftlerin Dr. Karen James (Madeleine Falk) und der medizinischen Mitarbeiterin Miranda (Eva Ceja), die Menschen zu retten und den Ausbruch der infizierten Meeresbewohner in die Freiheit zu verhindern…
