Subscribe for more #GuiltyPleasure videos http://bit.ly/1dn6AV5 Sara Lynn: YouTube - http://bit.ly/1OCbFOz Twitter - http://bit.ly/1ndFyLC Instagram - http://bit.ly/1PsItqB Kaiserschmarrn recipe: For the plum compote: 4-6 plums, pitted and chopped 2 tbsp coconut sugar 1 tbsp lemon juice ½ tsp vanilla extract For the Kaiserschmarrn: ½ banana ½ cup almond milk ½ cup gluten-free flour 2 egg whites 2 tbsp raisins 1 tbsp coconut oil For the plum compote combine chopped plums with coconut sugar, lemon juice and vanilla extract. Simmer for 15 minutes or until plums are tender. Serve as is or use an immersion blender to puree the plums. In a large bowl mash banana. Add almond milk and flour and whisk until smooth and well combined. In a second bowl beat egg whites until they form stiff peeks. Gently fold egg whites into flour mixture. In a large skillet heat coconut oil. Pour batter into pan to create a pancake. Once the bottom begins to set, sprinkle the pancake with raisins. Cook the pancake over medium-high heat until the bottom becomes golden brown; about 5 minutes. Flip the pancake and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Using two forks, tear the pancake into pieces. Continue to fry the pancake for an additional minute to allow the edges to become crispy. Remove from pan and serve hot with a light dusting of powdered sugar and the plum compote. • Mashed banana adds fibre and natural sweetness instead of adding sugar. • Replace dairy milk with lighter almond milk. • Replace butter with coconut oil. • Traditionally the raisins are soaked in rum before the are added. Add cold water and set aside mixture until it cools completely. In a medium bowl beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until they become light and fluffy. In a second bowl beat heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks. Gently fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture just to moisten it. Arrange 2 ladyfingers in each of 6 glass bowls or mason jars. If necessary, break them to fit. Top each jar with a 1 inch layer of the cream cheese mixture. Repeat layers.
