Sierra Leone was one of the hardest hit countries when the Ebola epidemic struck West Africa in 2014. Now it is battling the coronavirus. The first case was confirmed on 31st March and since then the numbers have been climbing steadily. Tyson Conteh is a filmmaker in Makeni, a city in northern Sierra Leone. He covered the Ebola outbreak for BBC Africa Eye in the documentary Standing Among The Living and now he is making a series of video diaries for BBC Africa Eye showing how his city is dealing with the coronavirus. In the last episode, Tyson finally gets to meet his daughter Danky. She was born in Freetown when her mother got stuck in the capital after the government restricted people moving between districts to try control the spread of the virus. After a series of bank robberies and murders in Miami in the mid-80s, the FBI begins an exhaustive 8-month investigation. The agents had no major clues or suspects, but they were determined to uncover the identity of the criminals raging in the area. On April 11, 1986, officers spotted the vehicle used in the bank robberies while on patrol. A bloody confrontation ensued the attempted arrest of the two passengers. There are increasing fears for food security in East Africa with mounting evidence of a new wave of desert locusts.
