Jimmy Kimmel Is Off the Air at ABC After His Remarks About Charlie Kirk
Disney's ABC network is taking Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air indefinitely amid a backlash to remarks the late-night host made about the killing of Republican activist Charlie Kirk. Kimmel, who has been a vocal critic of Trump, accused Republicans of using Kirk's death to criticize their opponents. In a statement, the Writers Guild of America criticized the move, saying: "If free speech applied only to ideas we like, we needn't have bothered to write it into the Constitution."
