Kenneth Kaunda, Zambia's first president, dies at 97 - BBC Africa
Former president of Zambia, Kenneth Kaunda, has died aged 97 after being admitted to hospital with pneumonia.
He was one of the pioneer leaders of a new Africa, as countries threw off colonialism in favour of independent statehood.
