Gold Prices Top $4,000 an Ounce as Rally Continues
Bloomberg's Mike McGlone reports why he is 'scared' over the price of gold. Spot gold smashed through $4,000 an ounce for the first time, as concerns over the US economy and a government shutdown added fresh momentum to a scorching rally. Gold has jumped more than 50% this year in the face of uncertainties over global trade, the Federal Reserve’s independence and US fiscal stability. Gold's price has also eclipsed its inflation-adjusted peak set more than 45 years ago, with the market value of US holdings surpassing $1 trillion and gold overtaking the euro as the second-largest asset in the reserves of the world's central banks. -------- More on Bloomberg Television and Markets Like this video?
