A special police unit tries to end all this and to shut down the gangs. Four men notorious for their prowess. The special unit can't rely on any tips from ghetto residents. Because nobody talks here. There is only one language – which means don't talk, shoot! For 70 years now, every winter, Sapporo, Japan, has hosted one of the largest snow festivals in the world: Sapporo Snow Festival. Each team has three weeks to create works of art the size of an apartment building from a few hundred tons of loose snow. Even a small mistake or a rise in temperature of 1°C - 2° C can cause an entire structure to collapse. Failure is not an option. Perfectionism is a national trait. There’s a lot at stake: circa two million visitors from all over the world are expected. The Japanese military traditionally build the largest and most elaborate sculpture at the festival. In over fifteen thousand man-hours, Major Ling and 80 soldiers are rebuilding the royal palace in Warsaw. They need 300 tons of snow. But there is a problem: in the event’s 70 year history, snowfall has been at its lowest this year. And this despite the fact that Sapporo is one of the ten snowiest regions in the world. This time the snow is transported by trucks from the mountains. And they're about three hours away by car. This year, the military is premiering two sculptures instead of one. Even if there is no official evaluation of the sculptures, prestige, honor and reputation for the army units are at stake. The fight only ends when the time is up. Beginning as a sleepy fishing village, Ocho Rios has seen explosive growth in the last decade to become a popular tourist destination featuring duty-free shopping, a cruise-ship terminal, world-renowned tourist attractions and several beaches and acclaimed resorts. In addition to being a port of call for cruise ships, Ocho Rios also hosts cargo ships at the Reynolds Pier for the exportation of sugar, limestone, and in the past, bauxite.The estimated population of the town in 2011 was 16,671, which is nearly 10% of the total population of St. Ann. The town is served by both the Donald Sangster International Airport (97 km west of Ocho Rios) and the Ian Fleming International Airport (17 km east of Ocho Rios). Scuba diving and other water sports are offered in the town's vicinity. The name "Ocho Rios" is a possible misnomer, as there are not currently eight rivers in the area. It could be a British corruption of the original Spanish name "Las Chorreras" ("the waterfalls"), a name given to the village because of the nearby Dunn's River Falls. In 2008, the attraction Mystic Mountain opened with a bobsled experience inspired by the Jamaican bobsled team that participated in the 1988 Olympics in Calgary. The attraction received a $570-million upgrade in 2019. The North Coast Highway from the Sangster International Airport at Montego Bay to Ocho Rios has been improved since 2007 and the journey is now an hour and forty five minutes drive. On 26 August 2011, the Jamaican government announced a $21 million revitalization plan for the resort area. Since March 2016, with the opening of the North-South portion of Highway 2000 (whose North terminus is located at Mammee Bay, a suburb of Ocho Rios), driving and commute times into the nation's capital, Kingston, have gone from over 2 hours to a little under an hour. The opening of this highway has reduced traffic on the old route between Jamaica's two cities (through the town and onto Fern Gully) immensely. To be woke is to be aware of the discrimination suffered by minorities and of white privilege. In Denver, Colorado, wealthy white Americans pay $500 to attend dinner parties where they are told they are unknowingly racist. At New York City Hall, a special commission tracks the “micro-aggressions” suffered by citizens from minorities. Holding the door for a woman, supposedly physically weaker than a man, can thus be considered a micro-aggression. Those who oppose this ideology are considered racist and are “cancelled”, that is to say socially eliminated and shamed on social networks. When UCLA economics professor, Gordon Klein, refused to automatically raise the marks of his black students who were taking an exam after the death of George Floyd and who, as such, would have been traumatized, he received death threats. He now lives under FBI protection and has been suspended. But some feel the woke revolution has gone too far. Even Terrence Floyd, George’s own brother murdered by the police, calls for a return to universalism and tolerance.

Eastern DRC is rich in natural resources. It is also the region that has been the target of a brutal conflict between the rebel group M23 and the DRC's Armed Forces. The war currently raging in this region is making it near impossible to certify the metals mined there are not used to fund armed groups and their brutal war.
