Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin launched its New Glenn rocket from Florida into space and successfully landed its first-stage booster rocket on a barge in the Atlantic Ocean. It's a historic mission. The rocket will send two spacecraft on a trajectory toward Mars. The booster landing is key to Blue Origin’s goal of making New Glenn partially reusable. Investors and dealers are trading municipal bonds at a record pace this year, driven by strong government sales and a burst of volatility tied to tariffs and interest rate moves. The number of trades has already surpassed 15.4 million, exceeding last year’s total of 14.5 million and marking the highest annual volume since the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board began tracking data in 2006. But it could take a few days for things to really get back to normal. The interim spending package funds most of the government through Jan 30, raising the prospect of another shutdown fight at that time, although some programs like food stamp benefits are funded through Sept 30.
