Deadly Roads - Afghanistan, South Africa & India (2016) World's Most Dangerous Roads - All Episodes: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLgqOez346ZOo1DO-c6XIOHj604hM8ixA A lifeline for the numerous villages in the region, the Duong Valley road is the only link between China, Burma, and Tibet. The film crew joins locals (and a very special pig!), aboard a collective taxi to explore the region. Things start well enough; for the first 30 km, the road is paved. However, the tarmac quickly gives way to a dirt track, perched on the side of a vertiginous ravine. Landslides punctuate the drivers’ progress, and passengers frequently have to get out and dig. It’s a bumpy ride, and the pig has to be moved from his precarious position on the roof of the vehicle to join the human passengers inside. The drivers are fearless, ready to risk life and limb to complete their journeys. We encounter a crowd waiting at the entrance of an unfinished tunnel. The roof has collapsed, and the lorries cannot get through. The travelers work for long hours inhaling dust and carbon monoxide, hoping that the vibrations from the engines will not cause the tunnel to collapse on their heads. High up the hills, woodcutters fell the trees to make carbon, before embarking upon a back-breaking hike to the roadside where they will sell their wares. To reach their destination they must swing across a 50-meter river on a make-shift flying fox, their heavy cargo in tow. Further along, a Buddhist monk loads heavy stones on the back of a geriatric pickup truck, and an entrepreneur gambles his savings on a lead mine. The stories of the Duong Valley’s intrepid inhabitants interweave with the drama of its beautiful but unpredictable landscape. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #MostDangerousRoads ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free. Secrets of Airline Food | Logistics Documentary Secrets of the Mega Landfill: https://youtu.be/2Vifruk3eSs Where the logistics of food production on a Mega scale meets the glamour of air travel, every 24 hours, 24,000 meals are made from scratch and then eaten on planes flying around the globe. So what does food have to go through to make one of the daily flights they cook for? Over the course of a day we’ll tuck into the extraordinary journey of the humble airline meal. China's Last Little Train | Free Documentary
China's Last Little Train | Free Documentary World’s Most Extreme Railway: https://youtu.be/uTSpdD6MswA Sichuan. Southwest China. It's a mountainous region best known for pandas and earthquakes. There are no roads in the rugged Jiayang Valley. No cars. No trucks. No buses. But there is ... a train. Little Train tells the story of the last working narrow gauge steam railway in China. Built seventy years ago to haul coal out of the valley, the 19 km line has evolved to be the main source of transport in the valley carrying children to school, workers to their jobs, and pigs to market, all fighting for space in the train's small, unglazed carriages. But now the railway is at a crucial point. The mine has shut down and the villagers are actively fighting to keep the line - and its aging steam locomotives - running. Already the villagers have to make replacement parts by hand. When the boiler goes they face catastrophe. Too large to fabricate themselves, they search far and wide for a company to make a new boiler for them. But even if they can find a new boiler, how can they get it to Jiayang Valley? At a time when attention is focused on China's great leaps in technology, on its maglev and bullet trains, the Last Little Train takes viewers on a journey to the quiet backwaters that are still home to half of China’s population. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #Train ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free. Amazing Quest: Stories from Botswana | Somewhere on Earth: Botswana | Free Documentary
Somewhere on Earth - Botswana | Free Documentary Somewhere on Earth - Belize: https://youtu.be/ME1tUKEZwE4 What if the Garden of Eden really existed Somewhere on Earth? Botswana, a land of Savannah and desert in southern Africa, is heir to a wealth of wildlife. The region of the Kalahari covers almost the entire country, and is a sanctuary for wild animals. From the desert sands to the oasis of a lush delta, the Okavango is the river that never reaches the ocean. It vanishes into the sands of the Kalahari. Botswana, with its 2 million inhabitants, has managed to preserve its magnificent wildlife. This is a safe haven for elephants. Someday, Botswana may be their last refuge. Prince Wright is a son of the Kalahari. This region of southern Africa, beyond the horizon of bush and savannah, is where he was born 42 years ago. Prince is passing on his love of the bush to Nimrod, his 14-year old nephew. Now, he’s setting out with him on a voyage of initiation, a sort of “rite of passage.” It used to be that to become an adult a young adolescent had to venture out into the bush alone and not come back to the village until he had killed an antelope. The Okavango Delta, in the northwest corner of Botswana, is a priceless jewel of Africa. This is where Tonic Dinonoka was born. Everyone knows him here in the village of Etsha. Tonic was orphaned very young, so he and his brothers had to learn how to make their own way. He is a generous, cheerful and resourceful man. Tonic is a skilled jack-of-all-trades, and is always willing to lend a helping hand. Right now, it’s Andrek, the village elder, who’s in need of help. Tempe Adams, a young Australian biologist, has been studying African elephants and for the last 4 years she’s been living an adventure here in Botswana. Tempe prefers roughing it in the splendor of the bush to the comforts of a laboratory in Sydney. Tempe is completing her doctoral thesis in zoology and at the same time working for an NGO, Elephants Without Borders. For four years she has devoted herself to the cohabitation of humans and elephants, which presents certain problems. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #SomewhereOnEarth #botswana ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-quality documentaries to you on YouTube for free. The transmission signal that travels at the speed of light between satellites and planet earth is the reason we are able to watch programs on TV, listen to the radio, do our banking online and many other things. But have we ever wondered about the process and man work, which lies behind this feat? In this documentary, we will uncover the secrets of hidden data transmission while following the construction, transportation and activation of a satellite in outer space from a factory hall in the South of France into the cosmos. The building and setting up of a satellite is complex and strenuous work. It has to be done with precision. Amazing Quest: Stories from Brittany | Somewhere on Earth: Brittany | Free Documentary
Somewhere on Earth - Brittany | Free Documentary Somewhere on Earth - Laos: https://youtu.be/NfxPIVDnuPo Sometimes the ocean needs to blow off steam. Off the point of Brittany in western France, the sea flexes its muscles with a harsh beauty. Fascinated by this impressive display, one could almost forget the danger. Storms are spellbinding; a wild fantasy for land dwellers; a tragic menace for sailors. The fishermen of the tumultuous of Raz de Sein are both humble and brave in their pursuit of their noble prey. Others, intrepid storm hunters, track the bad weather and huge waves as they push themselves to their limit in their never-ending search for the absolute. The Raz de Sein is a passage, 6 km wide, between the Pointe du Raz and the island of Sein. For sailors, this is Brittany’s most dangerous spot, an infamous passage. Olivier Mével is an old salt of the point, a hard-headed sailor, an aristocrat of fishing. Olivier is the Captain of the Mundaka. He’s one of the few who dare tackle the waves of the Raz de Sein. Jean Bulot is known as “Captain Storm.” He commanded a legendary boat, “l’Abeille Flandre”, a tug rescue boat capable of standing up to Brittany’s most extreme conditions to help ships in trouble. Jean is looking back on his life as a sailor and the places marked by his adventures as a rescue worker. A tireless teller of sea yarns, he has a seafarer’s gaze and “salt water” memories. Sometimes the storms off the western tip of Brittany follow one another for days on end. While everybody else is protecting themselves from the raging weather, a handful of men eager for a rush of adrenaline head out to tackle the waves. In this corner of Finistere, Bruno André is a breed apart, ever in search of the ocean’s peaks and troughs. Jean-René Keruzoré is a filmmaker, a stormchaser. He always has his eyes peeled in winter, his favorite season. For 10 years he’s been stalking storms, eager to capture images of Nature in its fury. Thomas Traversa is a great windsurfer, world champion of the waves. With Thomas, windsurfing is more than a sport, it becomes choreography. A fragile dancer, he traces arabesques between sky and sea and plays with an unchained, angry ocean. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe to Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #SomewhereOnEarth ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-quality documentaries to you on YouTube for free. Desperate Hours - Disasters in the Air | Disaster Documentary Desperate Hours - Environmental Disasters: https://youtu.be/kWVnofw2JvE In this episode of Desperate Hours, we slip the surly bonds of earth to encounter disasters in the air. There have been accidents in the air ever since the time of the Wright brothers and all the improvements in aviation technology since then have lessened but by no means eliminated the dangers of flying. We hope, however, that you are not frantically cancelling your next flight after watching this episode. The chance of getting into or anywhere near a plane crash is actually very low and the air travel is considered one of the safest forms of transport. Many more people die in automobile accidents every year, admittedly with the difference that they don’t usually die hundreds at a time. With that sobering thought, we say farewell, and fly safely. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #DesperateHours ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free. World's Worst Nuclear and Industrial Disasters | Desperate Hours | Free Documentary
Desperate Hours - Nuclear and Industrial Disasters | Disaster Documentary Desperate Hours - Disasters in the Air: https://youtu.be/sqBR93CJrwg Our focus for this chilling but fascinating episode of Desperate Hours is on Nuclear and Industrial Disasters.Nuclear nuclear power depends on harnessing the energy released during one of two processes - nuclear fission, or nuclear fusion. In both Nuclear fusion and nuclear fission, energy is released from the high-powered atomic bonds between the particles within a nucleus. The two processes differ, in that Nuclear Fission means splitting an atom into two, or more, smaller atoms. While Nuclear Fusion, is the fusing of two, or more, smaller atoms into a larger one. Ironically nuclear power is a relatively clean source of energy, which is great. But of course, unless the utmost precautions are taken in generating nuclear power, then the consequences can go beyond merely disastrous, to the unthinkable, the horrific. Safety in the workplace and care for the environment are a human responsibility but when it comes to nuclear power it’s not just industrial accidents that threaten tragic consequences. on an epic scale. A natural disaster such as a volcano or earthquake is something we have little-or-no control over and when such an event strikes a nuclear power facility the resulting disaster can be off the scale and last for decades. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #DesperateHours ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free. World's Worst Geological Disasters | Desperate Hours | Free Documentary
Desperate Hours - Geological Disasters | Disaster Documentary Desperate Hours - Nuclear and Industrial Disasters: https://youtu.be/2mBzuGt7__I In this sobering yet thrilling instalment of Desperate Hours our special focus is on Geological Disasters. Most natural disasters, including volcanoes and earthquakes are of course geological disasters. But, avalanches, landslides, blizzards and heat-waves. They don’t usually cause fatalities in the tens of thousands, do they? Don’t be lulled into a false sense of security. While casualty counts might be lower, geological disturbances like landslides and heat waves can cause their fair share of misery. A heat wave for instance, can be one of nature’s silent killers. India is justifiably renowned for its hot climate, but the heat wave that scorched India in the middle of this decade was something extraordinary. For two miserable weeks in New Delhi, the 45 degree heat actually started melting roads. Ours is a dangerous world, where geological mishaps – avalanches, landslides, heat-waves, sinkholes and blizzards, can spell disaster, almost as much as the big cataclysms such as earthquakes, volcanoes and tidal waves. It’s enough to make you want to purchase that one way ticket to Mars. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #DesperateHours ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free.
