World’s Most Dangerous Roads: Best Of Asian Countries - Philippines, India, China & Bangladesh World's Most Dangerous Roads - Mali, Siberia, Norway & India: https://youtu.be/NDOmVVV4xu8 00:00:00 Philippines' Serpentines (2014) The Halsema Highway, situated on the island Luzon, leads right through the Philippine jungle with its frequent fog and heavy rainfalls. Every trip on this so-called road is an adventure and highly dangerous. We accompany a bus driver and a taxi driver on their challenging trip across the mountains. 00:42:44 India - Leh-Manali Highway (2010) It is a road of mountain passes and India’s access to the roof of the world – the Himalayas. This 475-kilometre long route at the northernmost tip of the Indian subcontinent connects the cities of Manali and Leh at the heart of the Ladakh region. The term “highway” applies quite literally, since the route traverses five of the highest drivable mountain passes in the world – among these the Lohtang La at 3,978 metres above sea level, the Lachulung La at 5,059 metres and the Tanglang La at 5,325 metres. Crossing these passes is a challenge for both vehicle and man. The mountain peaks, still snow-capped even in the depths of summer, wide variety of vegetation and the fantastic and craggy landscape turn any journey into a captivating adventure. 01:25:44 China - The Sichuan-Tibet Highway (2014) The Sichuan Tibet Highway is the road of longing for many. It leads through fascinating landscapes and remote areas up to the Himalayan Mountains. We accompany truck driver Ren Taiping on his trip to the Tibetan capital city of Lhasa, encountering pilgrims, mountain bikers and nomads on this dangerous journey. 02:08:25 Bangladesh - The Nawabpur Road in Dhaka (2010) In Bangladesh, the land with the highest density of population in the world (and the highest amount of corruption), the daily struggle to survive is fought everywhere, including the streets. Nowhere do people drive as brutally and recklessly as here. In Bangladesh you drive on the road like others drive with a bumper car: if you need space, you simply ram the car driving next to you. The police only came if there are fatalities. The biggest bottleneck in the transport system is the historical old town of Dhaka. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Join the club and become a Free Documentary Patron: https://www.patreon.com/freedocumentary Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #MostDangerousRoads ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free. Somewhere on Earth - Quebec | Free Documentary Somewhere on Earth - All episodes: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLgqOez346ZP9s66MluVKg-D5FiDGB9Jx Quebec, La Belle Province, the Beautiful Province. History has left this region of North America a legacy: the French language. This is a land of far-off rivers and vast forests... In Quebec the immense expanses invite men and women to plunge into this wild realm, which is open to all. But one doesn’t become a woodsman or trapper overnight. Audrey Beauchemin succumbed to the call of the wild. It fascinates her and she wants to preserve it. In Montreal, she studied art and business, then she decided to settle in Minganie. The last frontier for all the Quebecois, it’s the most sparsely populated region on the northern coast of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The silence of this vast inaccessible territory is broken only by the hum of these old seaplanes. The interior of Minganie was unexplored for a long time. Audrey chose to live here to satisfy her thirst for adventure. Michel Béland is a trapper, a giant of a man who talks to trees and understands the language of the wild animals. The beaver trapping season has just opened. An age-old quest begins in the heart of the forests of Mauricie. Trapping is a way for Michel to reconnect with the ways of his ancestors and his childhood, which he spent with the Atikamekw Indians. Back in the pioneering days of New France, trappers were known as “White Indians” and traded in furs. Following in their footsteps is Michel’s way of paying homage to those woodsmen of the Far North. In the Carabinier family, we have Alain, a Swiss who emigrated to Canada 30 years ago and his son Antoine. They are just two of the members of a surprising family tribe: the Cirque Alfonse. The Cirque Alfonse is the brainchild of Antoine Carabinier. “Timber”, their latest show, is inspired by the legends and lore of the lumberjacks and logging camps. “Timber” resonates through all the forests of Quebec. “Timber”, the cry of the lumberjack just as the tree is falling. The Cirque Alfonse was born in one of these cabins during the dead of winter. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: https://bit.ly/2YJ4XzQ Instagram: https://instagram.com/free.documentary/ Facebook: https://bit.ly/2QfRxbG Twitter: https://bit.ly/2QlwRiI ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #SomewhereOnEarth ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free.
